Khaby Lame Is Taking the Throne from Charlie D’Amelio as TikTok’s Top Content Creator

TikTok now has Khaby Lame as one of the top creators on the platform, apart from Charlie D'Amelio.

The previous leader of TikTok has been dethroned. The previous holder of the title, American TikTok star Charli D'Amelio, was dethroned in TikTok by Khaby Lame, a 22-year-old Senegalese-born creator.

Khaby Lame now has more followers than Charli D'Amelio. Lame is standing at more than 142.7 million followers, while D'Amelio is at 142.3.

TikTok and Khaby Lame

Khaby Lame is a TikTok content creator based in Italy. The creator became a popular sensation on the internet with his well-received TikTok duets and stitches.

According to GameRant, Lame became famous with his "life hack" videos, reacting silently to the videos he found on TikTok. Throughout his entire life hacks videos, Lame would be using silent comedy.

He now focuses primarily on uploading short clips of silent comedic skits, which have garnered him millions of views and likes.

His fan base has been growing at an exponential rate since the previous year, and in the most recent weeks, supporters have begun campaigns to propel him to the top.

The Italian TikTok creator is now among the world's top social media stars.

He is now officially the most followed person on TikTok, with more than 142 million followers, and also garners 78 million followers on Instagram.

TikTok and Charlie D'Amelio

TikTok's top creator, before Lame, was the 18-year-old dancer Charlie D'Amelio. Charlie created her TikTok account in May 2019 and rose to fame on the platform after a year.

Charli has been able to launch a multifaceted career thanks to the success she has had on TikTok.

She has done voiceover work for an animated film, put her name on a book, begun a podcast, and launched nail polish and makeup product lines.

She is also joined by her older sister Dixie D'Amelio, who is also one of the most popular creators on TikTok with 57.2 million.

Dixie has also launched herself in the music industry with collaborations from Hollywood singers and rappers.

Both the D'Amelio sisters have achieved a feat on TikTok by creating entertaining videos.

There is apparently no bad blood between Charlie D'Amelio and Khaby Lame. Both have shared a photo of themselves posing together in February 2022.

It is remarkable that she was able to maintain her position at the top of the platform for such a considerable amount of time.

Khaby Lame Boss

Khaby Lame is now experiencing his fair share of brand collaboration, as he recently worked together with Boss.

After signing a multi-year deal with Hugo Boss in January 2022, Khaby was able to enjoy the benefits of being a hugely popular personality on social media.

His recent collaboration with Boss includes a very unique ensemble consisting of a well-designed jacket and hoodie.

The inclusion of a Khaby doll that can be used as an accessory or an attachment that can be snapped onto the garments is one of the more surprising aspects of this set.

According to Variety's interview to Lame, he stated: "When I was a kid I had an action figure of Vegeta from Dragon Ball and I've been collecting action figures for years. I'm really passionate about action figures and anime characters.

Lame added, "And now to see that there is a doll of myself and there will be an event to launch it along with the collection... I'm super excited."
