Harrison Ford is one of the recognized actors of his generation. He has starred in many films and brought a lot of characters to life.

On Wednesday, July 13, Harrison Ford celebrates his birthday. The brilliant actor just turned 80, and to celebrate it, here are some of his films that you can watch on Netflix.

"42"

Based on real events, "42" is a 2013 American biographical sports film about the legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson. He is the first black athlete to play in Major League Baseball (MLB).

Robinson and his family had to endure extreme racial hostility both on and off the field during his tenure at the Brooklyn Dodgers. He experienced discrimination not only from the game fans but also from his teammates.

Ford played the role of Wesley Branch Rickey, an American baseball player, and sports executive. By signing black player Robinson, Rickey was instrumental in breaking Major League Baseball's color barrier. 

"Blade Runner 2049"

"Blade Runner 2049" is a 2017 American neo-noir science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve. Hampton Fancher and Michael Green wrote it. 

The movie is the greatly anticipated sequel to the sci-fi classic "Blade Runner" (1982). "Blade Runner 2049" is set 30 years after the original movie's events. 

In the film, a young Blade runner discovers something buried underground that will shake society to its core.

He decides the best course of action is to look for Deckard (Ford), who has been missing for the last 30 years.

Ford portrays Deckard, who is hiding in the radioactive ruins of Las Vegas. He is violently resisting intrusion. Before the events of the film, Deckard's replicant lover, Rachael, became pregnant with his child but died in childbirth.

"The Devil's Own"

"The Devil's Own" is a 1997 American action thriller film directed by Alan J. Pakula. It was written by Vincent Patrick, David Aaron Cohen, and Kevin Jarre.

The film follows IRA's deadliest assassin, Frankie McGuire, who is sent to the United States to buy some weapons. He is housed with a New York cop named Tom, who knows nothing of Frankie's identity.

Ford plays the NYPD Sergeant Tom O'Meara, who strikes up a surprising friendship with Frankie.

"The Expendables 3"

The "Expendables 3" is a 2014 American action film directed by Patrick Hughes. It was written by Creighton Rothenberger, Katrin Benedikt and Sylvester Stallone. 

The movie is the third installment in "The Expendables" franchise. It is the sequel to "The Expendables" (2010) and "The Expendables 2" (2012).

Barney (Sylvester Stallone) and his band of highly trained mercenaries return in the third installment. 

This time, they conflict with ruthless and very dangerous international arms dealer Conrad Stonebanks, the Expendables' co-founder, who wants nothing more than to destroy the team.

Ford is Max Drummer, a CIA field operations officer and pilot who manages the Expendables.

"The Secret Life Of Pets 2"

"The Secret Life of Pets 2" is a 2019 American computer-animated comedy film directed by Chris Renaud and co-directed by Jonathan del Val. It was written by Brian Lynch. 

The film is a sequel to "The Secret Life of Pets," which continues the story of Max and his pet friends as they live out their secret lives when their owners go to work and school.

In the film, Max is looking to become more confident. Meanwhile, Snowball is planning on rescuing a baby tiger cub. Ford voices Rooster, a sheepdog.
