AMD Accidentally Leaks its Noise Suppression To Compete With RTX Voice

AMD accidentally leaked its own product through an uploaded YouTube video.

The company may have mistakenly uploaded the video introducing the new product, the AMD Noise Suppression, as it is counterproductive to NVIDIA's RTX Voice.

This information comes from a trailer that AMD uploaded to its YouTube channel. However, it appears that the video has since been removed.

Luckily, a Reddit user, u/zenobian, managed to save a copy of the trailer by downloading it before it was removed from the site and then uploading it to the AMD subreddit.

The sudden and unintentional product announcement garnered different takes from tech enthusiasts. While it is believed to be largely an accident, some say it might be intentional.

AMD Noise Suppression

The AMD leaked trailer on YouTube for its Noise Suppression reveals the feature in its Adrenalin drivers.

The footage was only available to the public for a brief period before it was promptly made private. Despite this, there are still traces of its information that can be found online. There are also some hints about its subject, the 'AMD Noise Suppression.'

The leaked trailer gives the impression that AMD's Noise Suppression functionality will function closely with Nvidia's RTX Voice,

RTX Voice is a feature in the Nvidia graphics card that enables users to filter out background noise when they are on a call, using their microphone, or gaming. It is located in the Nvidia Broadcast app.

According to Tom's Hardware, a Redditor named u/crazydaveyboy uploaded a copy of the video to AMD's subreddit. However, it was also removed.

u/crazydaveyboy is one of the people who viewed the trailer before it was quickly removed. They stated that the video gives the impression that AMD Noise Suppression will be a new setting that can be accessed in the Adrenalin driver's Audio and Video Tab.

u/crazydaveyboy stated that when the AMD Noise Suppression feature is turned on, it will install a new virtual audio device that users are free to use in the program they are running.

In addition, viewers were informed in the trailer that AMD Noise Suppression makes use of artificial intelligence and deep learning in order to suppress noise effectively.

AMD's Competition NVIDIA's RTX Voice

AMD's recent video leak was only a teaser or a trailer for what the company has in store for its customers. An introduction to a new feature that they will soon launch.

Unfortunately, the trailer did not include any information about when it would launch, where it would launch, or on what device the customers were going to experience the newly improved audio.

The company did not reveal any relevant information about the new technology they are going to release. Gamers and tech enthusiasts are curious to know how well AMD's noise suppression technology works.

According to The Verge, when NVIDIA released its RTX Voice, it received positive feedback from its users. "RTX Voice works so well it sometimes feels like magic, and when I've used it in the past it happily canceled out the sound of the clackiest of mechanical keyboards."

When Nvidia first introduced its RTX Voice software, it appeared that the AI-focused tensor cores that are included in its more recent graphics cards were necessary for the software to function properly.

In the following months, the company generously began providing official support for the feature on significantly older cards that did not have the dedicated hardware.

Since AMD has not released an official statement just yet, users can keep their fingers crossed that AMD's features will match or exceed expectations and become compatible with a wide variety of devices.
