Multi-award-winning filmmaker and actor Anthony Hayes is launching an NFT Series in partnership with Mogul Productions. The proceeds from these NFT sales will finance the new sci-fi film trilogy, "Retrogression."

Hayes is the producer and director of the movie GOLD starring Zac Efron, which is currently out around the world. As an actor, he is known for his work in WAR MACHINE alongside Brad Pitt, THE ROVER with Robert Pattinson, LIGHT BETWEEN OCEANS with Michael Fassbender, and ANIMAL KINGDOM with Joel Edgerton.

With his upcoming blockbuster film franchise, Hayes is combining the wild world of crypto and NFTs with the exciting universe of "Retrogression."

The NFT series launch also aligns with Mogul's mission to empower filmmakers with greater financial and creative autonomy and give its community of film superfans a voice in the production process.

Mogul Productions is an innovative DeFi and NFT marketplace platform that aims to drive positive change in the entertainment industry by transforming how movies are funded.

By revolutionizing film financing, Mogul offers a global audience of fans a chance to participate in financing movies and other forms of entertainment through NFT sales. Its NFT marketplace serves as a bridge between the NFT arena and the world of entertainment financing.

Overall, Mogul is a platform for film fans that empowers users to take an active role in the script-to-screen process. Its Access Pass  holders are offered even more insider benefits and perks, including access to exclusive events held around Mogul-produced film releases.

Its latest partnership with Hayes comes right on the heels of Mogul's collaboration with Web3 video live streaming and distribution interface Beem. Recently, they also announced a collaboration with animators that brought The Simpsons series  lead by Erick Tran, to create the world's first NFT series and are currently working on six separate film projects.

The decentralized film financing platform combines the utilities of DeFi (decentralized finance) and NFT (non-fungible tokens) to revolutionize the film and TV financing industry. On this platform, getting your script financed by fans and supporters is easily streamlined.

Mogul is powered by in-app payment and utility token STARS. The native token is used throughout its ecosystem for purchasing NFTs, staking, redeeming rewards, earning discounts, and participating in crucial decision-making aspects of production and greenlight projects.

A Self-sufficient Ecosystem

To provide liquidity and better services to its users, Mogul has expanded its network to cover ApeSwap, UniSwap, PancakeSwap, Chainlink, Trace Network Labs, Hacken, Ceek, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Multichain, Nearverse, Bybit NFT, OpenSea, NFTY Labs, CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, Film Finances Inc., and more.

Mogul's partnership with acclaimed filmmaker Hayes is for the one-of-a-kind NFT series launch called "The Dark Army" ahead of the release of the planned trilogy "Retrogression."

Retrogression is an entirely self-sufficient film streaming ecosystem with NFTs,  gaming, and crypto elements. Interestingly, it also enables token holders to earn profits from the revenue generated by the content and real-world utilities.

The platform has a native RTGN token, which users can earn by watching shorts on Film Crib. There are several benefits of Holding RTGN tokens.

For instance, it allows users to play the Retrogression game, a first-person experiential game powered by Unreal Engine. Inside the main game experience, there will be NFTs of lead characters, RTGN basketball league game & NFT player collector cards. Moreover, the longer one plays the game, the more chance they will have of collecting a rare NFT.

Token holders will also receive a share of the profits from the films in the form of  RTGN. A percentage of the film profits will also be donated to charities actively combating Climate Change in the RTGN token.

Interestingly, Retrogression contains numerous crypto tie-ins such as virtual horse racing, an RTGN virtual basketball league, and an entire economy existing on the RTGN token. "We intend to exploit every aspect of the film and replicate it inside the game," states the "Retrogression" whitepaper.

Thus, Retrogression is ushering in the next generation of interconnected gaming, starting with its NFT collection.

Limited NFTs with Exclusive Perks

The movie "Retrogression" is set in a dark dystopian sci-fi epic set 300 years in the future. In this world, the Dark Army polices slave factories on an island called Omega, where the poor are forced into labor to produce goods for the rich.

The Dark Army NFT series draws inspiration from these enforcers on Omega's ravaged landscape. The NFT collection features a host of exclusive perks for community members participating in the sales.

However, exclusive perks such as an Executive Producer credit on the first Retrogression feature film are only granted to the holders of the rare-tier Dark Army NFTs. Other rare NFTs in the collection will entitle the holder to unique experiences like an on-set visit during production or the chance to appear as a featured player in the film.

But these perks are not only for special NFT holders. The most common NFTs in the series also provide groundbreaking utility for holders, including exclusive behind-the-scenes access, a digital image of a costume from the film, beta testing passes to play the upcoming Retrogression game, and much more.

The Dark Army NFT collection will be launched on the most popular Ethereum blockchain as ERC-721 tokens and will be purchasable in either ETH or ERC-20 STARS tokens.

By following the "lazy mint" process, the Mogul Production team ensures that each NFT is minted completely randomly using Chainlink's provably fair minting system, which is integrated into the Mogul platform. This gives all buyers an equal opportunity to score a super-rare NFT.

There will only be a limited 1,530 NFTs in this collection, with the rarest of all, Dark Army leader General McKinsky, being limited to just 10 in each color.

Each NFT in the collection will have an additional utility built in, enabling their future integration as avatars into various metaverses where the Retrogression P2E gaming experience will be hosted.
