Samsung's Odyssey Ark is a flagship product in the company's gaming monitor collection. It was designed for PC, but it has specifications that let you utilize the PS5 and Xbox Series X to their fullest potential, according to a news story by IGN.
It is a 55-inch 4K Quantum Mini LED display that can, according to the manufacturer, reach a maximum brightness of 1,500 nits. The monitor also has a variable refresh rate, a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms reaction time.
The Verge noted that the Samsung Gaming Hub, which supports cloud streaming through Xbox Game Pass, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna, is one feature that you may use in addition to using it as an ordinary monitor.
It's likely that you'll want to do more on the Ark than just play video games. This screen has enough space to allow several use cases simultaneously.
The Ark has robust screen manipulation settings that let you switch between basic (stack four windows, two by two) and more customized options (stack three windows, two by two), expanding on the standard picture-in-picture (PIP) mode provided by many TVs and certain monitors.

The Odyssey Ark has four speakers: two woofers behind the screen's center, one in each corner. Samsung also said that the Odyssey Ark is VESA mount compatible, so if you wanted, you could mount it on the wall. It has four ports for HDMI 2.1. Additionally, it features a LAN port.
If you wish to use streaming apps like Apple TV Plus or YouTube, this monitor is compatible with Samsung's Tizen OS, as per The Verge.
Samsung provides the Ark with two remote controls: an ordinary remote for basic operations and an Ark dial for more complex ones. The main controls for the Ark, including power, volume, input selection, and the gaming bar, are found on big buttons in this standalone command center.
To make adjustments more quickly, it has a directional pad and a rotating dial within. You don't even have to plug it in because it has a solar panel to recharge it.
IGN mentioned that the control dial enables easy switching between various settings or monitor windows. The dial provides a tactile sensation and makes it simple to reach all the settings. It has quick access to changing the monitor's settings, including changing the screen size from 55 to 27 inches and more basic adjustments like changing the volume.

Preorders for the $3,499.99 Samsung Odyssey Ark started on the company's website on Monday. It will officially launch in early September.
