James Wan and Stefany Folsom are Developing a New 'King Kong' Series for Disney+

A ferocious Kong-frontation between King Kong and King Kong is imminent. Apparently, James Wan's Atomic Monster and writer Stefany Folsom are working on a new live-action series starring the famed ape for Disney+. In addition to the upcoming "Monsterverse Kong: Skull Island" animated series from Legendary for Netflix and the 2024 release of Adam Wingard's "Godzilla vs. Kong" sequel for Warner Bros.

A sequential action/adventure drama that revisits Skull Island and introduces a new Kong is described as Disney's "King Kong" TV program. The series will examine King Kong's mythology and habitat's unsolved paranormal mysteries based on Merian C. Cooper's original books and Joe DeVito's new King Kong novelizations.

The dinosaurs and Kong are at war, and Disney has chosen a side. If you're wondering how this is possible since Cooper's 1933 movie won't be in the public domain until 2029, it's because the film, theme park, and TV rights are spread out.

According to Comic Book.com, as cited by Gizmodo, the rights to King Kong seem to come down to the fact that the corporation that created the character owns the numerous depictions of the figure. Additionally, since the novelization of Kong is in the public domain, enabling anybody to adopt him as long as they base it on that book.

The Merian C. Cooper Estate has partnered with the artist DeVito to make new novelizations that will serve as the series' source material and the original book for this new "King Kong" episode. As a result, Kong is available from Universal, Legendary, Warner Bros., Toho, and now Disney.

The Villains of Valley View Will Have a Season Two in Disney+

Disney Branded Television has announced that the Disney Channel comedy "The Villains of Valley View" has been renewed for a second season. This means that the Madden family will continue to hide out in suburbia.

The CEO of Disney Branded Television, Ayo Davis, claims that it is simple to comprehend why viewers have grown to like the wicked Madden family. The Maddens demonstrate the strength of family and togetherness even in the face of chaos, absurdity, and sometimes even terror in their daily lives, despite the fact that they often employ their powers. Amy and her family are supportive of one another.

Havoc, a teenage supervillain who challenges the League's commander, is portrayed by Isabella Pappas in "The Villains of Valley View." She must change her name, and she and her family must relocate to a quiet suburb in Texas. Havoc (playing Amy) must hide her abilities and manage her mean side to be normal like the rest of her family, with the aid of her bubbly new neighbor Hartley (Kayden Muller-Janssen).

Along with Pappas and Muller-Janssen, other series regulars returning for Season 2 include Lucy Davis as Eva/Surge on "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" and "The Office UK," James Patrick Stuart as Vic/Kraniac on "General Hospital," Malachi Barton as Colby/Flashform on "Under Wraps 2," and Reed Horstmann as Jake/Chaos on "The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia."

The second season of "The Villains of Valley View" is scheduled to start this autumn in Los Angeles. On the other hand, fresh episodes of the first season will keep airing beginning on October 7. Additionally, Disney+ is presently streaming the comedy.
