In June, High on Life was first reveled at the Xbox and Bethesda showcase. The game's release date was originally set for Oct. 25, but developer Squanch Games just last week revealed that it would now be on Dec. 13.

Nevertheless, a new extended trailer for the game was released, which will undoubtedly excite fans who are impatiently awaiting its launch.

High on Life Extended Gameplay Demonstration

The biggest video game convention in Europe, Gamescom 2022, is back this week in Cologne, Germany. The annual trade show offers news on the hottest gaming releases, announcements, live shows, and trailers in 2022 and beyond. The dates for this year's exhibition are Aug. 23-28.

Even though gaming has been less active this year, Gamescom 2022 looks to make a bold comeback with the most recent details on future titles.

And this includes High on Life.

During Gamescom's Opening Night Live presentation, a brand-new trailer for High on Life was shown, as per the report by IGN. The first glimpse at a boss fight was revealed by the new look at the first-person shooter from Squanch Games.

You can watch the trailer below:

What Does the Trailer Shows

The fighting scene, which resembled a boss fight, took place in a slime-covered, locked arena. On the other hand, your talkative weaponry will give you tips and trash-talk the bad guy, as described by Gamespot.

The player faces off against 9-Torg, a clone that has a bounty on their head. The player must swing from grapple points to avoid the green hazardous sludge that fills the little boss fight area.

In the demo, the boss was both shot at and made fun of.

While the demo showed the character swinging about rails and grapple spots to prevent slipping into the slime, there are also scenes where she continued plunging into the slime voluntarily and then diving out to surprise you.

Brief Background About the Game

Squanch Games, a company run by co-creator of Rick and Morty Justin Roiland, is currently working on a game called High on Life.

It appears that the game will offer a distinctive and eccentric perspective on first-person shooters because of the humor style that permeates every aspect of it, even to the logo.

Gamespot noted that your weapons have personalities of their own and can communicate with you in their own unique ways.

The world depicted in High on Life is one in which people are the greatest drug in existence, Meanwhile, the weapons have lives of their own and personalities.

A human high school student who turns into a bounty hunter for the galaxy is its protagonist of the game.

Where Can You Play High on Life

As previously mentioned, the launch of the game would be in December. Upon the launce, the game will be made available on Xbox and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It will also be accessible by the Xbox and PC Game Passes.
