Amazon, Best Buy are Giving $300 Discounts on 14, 16-Inch M1-Powered MacBook Pro

If you want to take advantage of the $300 discount Amazon and Best Buy are offering for 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, purchase as soon as possible.

Here's Why You Shouldn't Miss Amazon and Best Buy's MacBook Pro Sale

The mix of power and mobility that the MacBook Pro models with M1 Pro processors provide comes at a cost, despite being among the best Apple offers. There are several sites to purchase Apple laptops, even though the company seldom offers direct discounts on its computers.

With savings of up to $300, Amazon and Best Buy are providing some of the best pricing to date on both the 14-inch and 16-inch models.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro is the biggest laptop Apple currently manufactures if you're looking for one with a huge screen. A beautiful 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with ProMotion and 1,600 nits of peak brightness is included on this device.

The discounted PCs at both stores are powered by the Apple M1 Pro processor, featuring a 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, and 16GB of RAM. The cost of the 512GB and 1TB versions has just been reduced. If you need the extra power that Apple's M1 Max CPU provides, you can get higher-spec models on Amazon for $150 off.

At the same time, the 14-inch MacBook Pro, which is more portable, is offered for as cheap as $1,799, which is $200 less than the standard cost of the 512GB model. You'll save $300 if you choose the 1TB version. The Apple M1 Pro CPU and 16GB of RAM are installed on both devices.

It is unpredictable when these reductions will last. Therefore, it's best to place your purchase as soon as possible if you want to take advantage of the current offers.

Apple's DIY Repair Program Now Includes M1-Chip MacBook Airs and Pros

Apple's DIY repair service includes M1-processor MacBook Air and Pro computers. Starting on August 23, Apple's Self Service Repair Store will sell legitimate components for the 2020 M1 MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and 14- and 16-inch 2021 M1 MacBook Pros.

This extends the repair program that Apple introduced earlier this year, which first only covered display, battery, and camera components for the iPhone 12 and 13. Apple intends to launch the program in Europe after the US, where it is only presently accessible.

A variety of MacBook components, including the display, top casing with battery, Touch ID, and trackpad, are being made accessible by Apple, to begin with. When you return the old component you're replacing, it gives credit that you can use toward your repair, much as Apple does with its iPhones.

MacBook Air's display costs $395.12 ($307 after credit), while the 14-inch MacBook Pro's price is $672.32 ($579.04 after credit). Both laptops cost $95.92 for the trackpad and $87.10 with Touch ID. According to TechCrunch cited by The Verge, a screws cost $5, speakers cost $29, and a logic board costs $580.

Later this year, Apple will introduce the M2 MacBook Air, iMac, and Mac Studio Display.  At the same time, the firm plans to offer more fixes. Apple rents repair kits for $49 if you don't want to buy them. The equipment will be lighter than Apple's 79-pound iPhone hardware.

Additionally, Apple's announcement, which lacked details, said that upgrading a Touch ID module or logic board at home will need serialization, either with a tool or by Apple, before the components are given.
