Samsung TV Plus Streaming Releases Exclusive Content, Free Channels

The Samsung TV Plus is getting a major upgrade in terms of streaming.

Samsung's free ad-supported TV (FAST) and video on-demand service platform now adds more exclusive and free content for its users to enjoy.

Despite the fact that popular streaming services like Disney+, Netflix, and HBO Max are subscription based streaming platforms, Samsung has gained a dedicated user base for free streaming.

TV Plus, Samsung's free, ad-supported streaming package that is embedded into a variety of Samsung devices and can also be accessed over the web, will soon have additional material available to stream.

This update brings a number of new shows to the platform, including Top Gear, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NCIS, and Chicago Fire.

Furthermore, Samsung also announced that Andy Singer would be joining the company as the Head of Content.

Samsung TV Plus Content Library

Samsung TV Plus launched in 2015 as one of the first FAST services by a device manufacturer.

The expansion of Samsung's reach is a priority for the company, and they are staying true to their commitment by providing their audience with more unique content and additional channels.

Samsung's Smart TV streaming service, which is offered without charge and incorporated on all Samsung Smart TVs and Galaxy devices manufactured between 2016 and 2022.

It is increasingly functioning as an alternative to pay TV that is both comprehensive and all-encompassing.

On Scripps Networks, beginning today, customers will be able to watch a variety of drama titles, including Chicago Fire, NCIS, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and more.

In its streaming platform, Samsunga launches a new channel called Home.Made.Nation in partnership with A+E Networks. On this channel, they will cover all aspects of design, style, decor, and food.

According to The Verge, Samsung will also be launching another channel this fall that will be known as "Ride or Drive." Ride or Drive is the first automotive-focused channel on the platform, and it provides vehicle enthusiasts with even more content related to cars and driving.

The expanding network of Samsung channels will soon include Samsung Showcase, a channel that features marquee entertainment such as events, concerts, and special programming.

Samsung TV Plus will provide users with access to NBC News NOW, LiveNOW from FOX, CBS News, and ABC News Live for their news needs.

Consumers all around the United States will now have access to live local news and weather thanks to an expanding new project that Samsung TV Plus has launched.

In addition, Samsung partnered with Vice Media and Lionsgate to expand its content offering in preparation for its 2023 goal of doubling the size of its library.

Samsung Reports Growth of TV Plus

Samsung reports that since its launch, Samsung TV Plus has continuously increased the number of channels, reaching over 220 channels in the United States, over 1,600 channels globally, and over 50 channels that are owned and operated by Samsung itself.

In addition, Samsung has just revealed the availability of Samsung TV Plus on some Family Hub refrigerators for 2.0 model year 2017 and newer, initially in the United States and Korea. This will allow consumers to continue watching from any room in the house.

The past year has seen a phenomenal 100% rise in consumer viewing on Samsung TV Plus, with approximately 3 billion hours streamed by highly engaged customers from all over the world.
