Apple Leaks Suggests a New Watch That's Less Expensive Than the Watch SE

Apple is rumored to release a new watch that is less expensive than the Watch SE.

Apple is well-known, not only for its groundbreaking innovations but also for the cost of its products.

Despite this, the company has indicated that the objective of this release is to compete more aggressively for the market of young people interested in purchasing smartwatches.

Apple is getting ready to launch a new model of the Apple Watch that will be available at a lower price point than the Apple Watch SE.

According to two sources familiar with Apple's preparations, the announcement is anticipated to take place at the Apple event that will take place on Wednesday.

New Apple Watch Family Feature

The all new Apple Watch is designed to fit the younger generation. According to 9To5Mac, Apple's intention with this new wristwatch is to join the trend of parents providing wearables to their children so that they may be used as a substitute for the children's telephones. This is part of the rising popularity of parents giving their children wearables.

Aside from that, the concept is also to utilize these smartwatches for tracking and communication through the cellular connectivity feature.

In addition, the small screen design for this new Apple watch is also intended to address the concerns of parents regarding the threat of possible internet addiction.

According to the information that was leaked, Apple took around three years to build its Family Sharing functionality for the Apple Watch.

The main problem Apple was trying to solve was the longevity of how long a device's battery will last. This is because when using an Apple Watch independently on its own, without the connectivity to the iPhone, it consumes a lot of power from its battery.

Another obvious reason for this one is that the watch cannot delegate some responsibilities to the iPhone if it is on its own.

In addition, Apple's efforts in Family Setup include a feature added with watchOS 7 that makes it possible for someone to use an Apple Watch with cellular connectivity even if they do not have an iPhone.

After the launch of watchOS 7, users gained the ability to share locations, access apps, make and receive calls, and read and respond to messages.
