Blue HTC One spotted with Verizon branding

The blue version of the HTC One has been spotted with Verizon branding.

HTC has already confirmed its plans to launch a blue version of the HTC One but didn't mention the regions and carriers that will offer the new color variant. Now it seems that the blue version of the HTC One is heading to Verizon.

"If you've been waiting to see what the blue HTC One will look like on Big Red - here's your answer. A tipster sent in this shot of the best Android smartphone currently available (as of our August 2013 rankings) - in blue, with Verizon branding. Not a lot more to say about that. It's the HTC One. And it's blue. And it's on Verizon," reports Android Central.

The HTC One was available via major U.S. carriers, apart from Verizon, in April this year. Verizon was quite late in retailing the handset and its customers had to wait until August to get their hands on the latest HTC flagship.

At launch, HTC announced that the handset will be available in only two color options: Glacier Silver and Stealth Black. The company later launched a red version of the handset, which is currently available in the U.S. only via Sprint.

The blue version of the handset was spotted in the wild recently and soon the company announced that the handset will be available in the new hue.

"A new 'Vivid Blue' HTC One and One mini also introduce a bold new option for those who want a handset that stands out from the crowd," announced HTC.

However, the company didn't announce which carriers will offer the new color version of the handset. The latest image from Android Central shows the packaging of the blue HTC One, as well as the carrier's logo at the rear of the smartphone.

Unfortunately, the blue HTC One is not yet available from Verizon's website. Currently, the carrier is selling the handset at a price tag of $199.99 on a two-year contract. As the blue HTC One will have the same hardware specifications as other color variants the latest hue should also have the same price as other colors.

We will now have to wait until Verizon officially confirms the blue HTC One on its network.
