Although best known for her role as Rose Dawson nee DeWitt Bukater in James Cameron's 1997 romance and disaster film "Titanic," Kate Winslet is more than just her most iconic role.

Winslet is a multi-talented actress, with her being featured in various films that prove her versatility as an actress.

And since it is her birthday today, here are the movies she stars in for you to watch on Netflix to celebrate her 47th birthday.

The Reader

"The Reader" is a 2008 romantic drama movie adaptation of the 1995 German novel of the same name, per Roger Ebert. It is directed by Stephen Daldry of "Billy Elliot" fame, while its script was written by David Hare, who also wrote the scripts for the 1993 film "The Secret Rapture" and the 2017 film "The White Crow," per their respective IMDb pages.

The movie features the story of Michael Berg, a German teenager living in postwar Germany, who begins a passionate, secret affair with Hanna Schmitz, a bookworm and an older woman played by Winslet. However, Schmitz could be something more than just a bookworm, and in postwar Germany, it could mean the difference between life and death, per Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie got a 63% fresh score while receiving a 79% audience score. The movie's reviews on its IMDb page show that the movie is a hit with its audiences, with it giving the movie scores from seven to ten stars due to the casts' quality acting and faithful adaptation of the book.

The Holiday

"The Holiday" is a 2006 romantic comedy film directed and written by Nancy Meyers, who previously directed films such as "The Intern" and "The Parent Trap," per her IMDb page.

The film focuses on the story of two women, played by Winslet and Cameron Diaz, who swapped homes to get away from their respective bad breakups. However, during their time in each other's homes, they find love, and with their return to their actual homes imminent, could they manage to end what they have?

Unlike "The Reader," the movie was found to be rotten, with it getting a critic score of 50%. The Guardian agrees with that score, saying the movie was "like two hours and 10 minutes of very hard graft."

However, the movie's audience loved it, as evidenced by its 80% audience score. The user reviews on its IMDB page revealed that the movie clicked with people who want some sweetness as a side for their "enjoyable escapism."

Flushed Away

"Hussah! A man of quality!"

Memers would be familiar with the phrase, but for those who are not, "Flushed Away" is a 2006 animated comedy fi;m directed by Sam Fell and David Bowers, who directed the films "The Tale of Desperaux" and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," respectively, per their IMDb pages.

The movie features the story of a pampered pet mouse who is trying to get back to its home after being flushed down a toilet. Along the way, he meets and befriends a scavenger named Rita Malone, voiced by Winslet.

The movie got favorable scores on Metacritic, with it being given a critics score of 74 based on 28 critic reviews while receiving a 7.5 out of a possible ten based on 216 audience ratings.

Rotten Tomatoes' findings also show a similar score, with "flushed Away" getting a 73% fresh rating while getting an audience score of 65% based on around 250,000 ratings.

According to the critics' consensus, the movie was "clever and appealing for all ages."
