AIR Media-Tech, a global company for digital-first creators and brands, and Vidby (Switzerland), an AI translation service, are announcing a strategic partnership, aimed at making content translation services more accessible for YouTube creators who strive to expand their audience globally.

As today's world has become as globalized and interconnected as never before, creators get plenty of opportunities to enter new markets. At the same time, most of them still rely on the English-speaking audience. Among 3.8 billion people speaking 14 key languages, English accounts for only 21% of that number and this language segment is the most competitive on YouTube and other key platforms. By focusing on one language creators not only limit access to their content for many people but also miss some additional income opportunities from less competitive markets. The number of video content hours uploaded to YouTube  globally is growing every year. According to the platform's estimates, more than 500 hours of video were uploaded to YouTube every minute in 2020 (compared to 100 hours in 2013).  And most of this content is uploaded by creators only in one language.

One of the effective ways to go global for many creators is content translation and  localization. AIR has a vast experience in this area and has successfully implemented this strategy for some well-known YouTubers like Kids Diana Show, Lady Diana, Jason Vlogs,  HZHtube Kids Fun, and many others. As AIR has been using professional translation and dubbing, such projects always have been quite resource-intensive and time-consuming  practice. Besides the content translation itself, a lot of work needs to be done for the launch and promo of localized channels in new languages. That is why AIR provided this service only for TOP creators who could afford that or invested in selected YouTubers. By joining efforts with Vidby, AIR will be able to provide an automated translation solution to more creators with suitable content. In just a couple of clicks, AIR's partners will be able to upload the original video and get the translated one ready to be uploaded to a localized YouTube channel in the new language.

The service will work on a revenue share basis where creators do not pay anything for content translation and localization, but share the AdSense revenues from YouTube channels in new languages with AIR and Vidby. Video translation will be done by Vidby, AIR  will take over content management and promote translated channels in new markets. All that  remains for creators is to continue focusing on creating high-quality content in their native language. The companies expect that over 100 AIR's partner creators will use this service and translate more than 10,000 videos over the next year.

"We're delighted to partner with this rapidly growing startup and share their idea of making video content accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world. Vidby uses cutting-edge technology and constantly improves the quality of its product which makes us confident that our partners will get the all-in-one solution to promote their content in other markets at a reasonable cost very soon," comments co-founder of AIR-Media-Tech Stepan Mikhaylov.

Alexander Konovalov, Vidby's co-founder, says: "AIR Media-Tech is a well-known and trusted player in the creator economy sector, so we are excited to work together and create new revolutionary products for content creators. Together, we will be able to scale the content of talented authors to the whole world and do it in a fairly short period of time."  Denys Krasnikov, Vidby Сo-Founder who is going to represent new technology in the  American market comments: "There is a lot of great content in the US market, which was very expensive to translate into other languages. Now it has become easy and affordable. YouTubers can get new audiences. In addition, entrepreneurs from all over the world have a real opportunity to increase their profits by fast launching channels in the United States,  receiving significantly more payments from YouTube than they received for the same videos  in their languages."
