Have you ever heard of the game Good Pizza, Great Pizza? If you have not or if you have, but you chose not to check it out, you are missing out.

A cooking simulator game available both for PC and mobile, Good Pizza, Great Pizza puts you in the role of a pizzeria owner who takes customers' orders and builds, bakes, and boxes the pizzas himself. It is hard not to get addicted to the game, especially when you consider that it is straightfroward and easy to understand.

However, it can be harder than it looks, especially as the recipes and customers' orders get more and more complicated. To help out newbie players and those seasoned ones who need some reminding, we put together a guide of the basics that you should never ever forget as you play Good Pizza, Great Pizza

The Constants... Unless the Customers Say Otherwise

As far as toppings are concerned, every pizza should have the tomato sauce and the cheese. That only changes when the customer specifies if he or she does not want sauce or cheese. Sometimes, a customer may not even want both. For the other toppings, there should be 18 pieces of each required topping that goes on the pizza unless otherwise stated.

Keep in mind that for every ingredient you use, deductions are made to your money. So if you put more than the required number of pieces, you will lose more money than necessary. If you put less than the required amount, well, you will piss off the customer, which means less money for you.

Another thing to always keep in mind is that each pizza has six slices. Again, that remains so unless otherwise stated by the customer.

Clarify When in Doubt, But There is a Price to Pay

Your customer will always specify the toppings he or she wants (and does not want, for that matter), as well as the number of slices and the doneness of the pizza. For the last one, when the customer wants a well done pizza, just put it through the oven twice.

However, many customers tend to speak in riddles. If you do not understand the order, simply ask "What?" However, doing so cuts down the customer's patience so be wise.

Lactose Intolerant, Vegetarian, Vegan, and So On

As previously mentioned, many customers like to speak in riddles or say so many things instead of just getting straight to the point. There are also customers who give a dietary restriction instead of just listing out the ingredients they want or do not want. It can get confusing, especially if you cannot tell the difference between vegetarian or vegan.

A vegetarian pizza should have the following as long as the toppings are already available:

  • Sauce
  • Cheese
  • Mushroom
  • Olive
  • Onion
  • Bell Pepper
  • Pineapple
  • Basil
  • Eggplant
  • Corn
  • Garlic
  • Sliced Tomato
  • Jalapeno

On the other hand, a vegan pizza should have the following toppings as long as they are available:

  • Sauce
  • Mushroom
  • Olive
  • Onion
  • Bell Pepper
  • Pineapple
  • Basil
  • Eggplant
  • Corn
  • Garlic
  • Sliced Tomato
  • Jalapeno

You will also encounter lactose intolerant customers. When you do, all you have to do is basically give them pizza that has no dairy in it. This basically means that you should not put any cheese on the pizza.

You can also purchase upgrades that will make your job as a pizzeria owner a lot more convenient and efficient. Upgrades including lengthening the patience of your customers, increasing customer spawn, automatically putting certain toppings on the pizza, and more.

A recommended upgrade that every player should ideally make is the one that makes the oven bake pizzas faster. A slow pizza is equal to slow service. You do not want to the patience of your customer to decrease way too much.

There is also an upgrade that automatically puts markers on where you should put the ingredients. This is another particularly useful upgrade if you are worried that you will end up putting less than the required amount of toppings.

You Can Customize Your Pizzeria

If you have enough cash, you can purchase a new floor, new wall, new decor, and so many more for your pizzeria. You can even change the color and design of your pizza box.

The customization options may be an afterthought for many players, but there are times that the color of your box does matter in order to successfully complete an order.
