Apple, Customers Benefited as Apple MDM Vendors Move Into Security Space

Apple and its customers are big winners as Apple MDM is moving into mobile device management (MDM), offering more solutions than before.

Apple, an endpoint device, technically wants more solutions the company can automatically deploy, manage and protect all their devices.

Having Apple MDM of Apple @ Work, Mosyle's only Apple Unified Platform, out from its niche to move into the security is a big win for Macs and its customers.

Multiple Solutions Under One Roof

All companies at the endpoint of the industry need protection and reporting. They want a toolbox with a wide array of solutions, from anti-malware,

managing identities and devices and the security of these devices.

These tools, from the standpoint of these companies, are ideal if they can be deployed within their present infrastructure.

Companies build their complete security program for their devices. And ideally, it is strategic to work with vendors who offer multiple solutions under one roof - billing and technical aspects. It is less hassle, too, talking to multiple vendors as these companies move through the deployment.

Why Apple a Big Winner

Apple wants to have a secure and robust bottom line. Every tech company knows that selling their products is not the only concern. It has to ensure that each product deployed in the market is managed and with ongoing protection instead of a one-shot approach leaving the products lying vulnerable to all and sundry.

It is already a thing of the past that companies do not move beyond the traditional selling of their devices. They want more because they understand that robust sales happen when you provide post-sales solutions to customers.

Apple's competitors with Apple Business Essentials, like Jamf and Kandji do not belong in this category. These competitors are not MDM vendors.

Business Essentials cannot also fill in the gap because of its inherent limitation. Its solutions target smaller clients, especially those without dedicated IT departments.

Unmanaged Devices

Most companies move away from unmanaged devices because they have no control over these devices. There is no way to know who does what with the device. And it's impossible to know what apps are on it. Managing updates to the device is not in the power of these companies to manage or push it.

Having unmanaged devices in your network poses a big risk because no one can tell what type of security risks they may bring. For Apple, at the endpoint of the industry, unmanaged devices mean bad business.

That's why Apple loves hearing Mosyle's Apple MDM has developed MDM software and solutions. Actually, it's a win for Apple and its customers. With the company raking in more money, the customers can sleep soundly knowing they get the right solutions in every Mac they buy.

When companies specialize in Macs with specialized software solutions, Apple will be happy to hear that. For Apple, it's a win to have a secure endpoint. It is also a win for customers and a win for the vendor of security solutions.

Definitely, everyone in the chain benefits, especially vendors, included. It will be a win-for-all when a situation guarantees security, increases productivity, and reduces costs.
