Dish's Boost Infinite Beta Plan Has Been Launched for $25 a Month

Dish has released its Boost Infinite postpaid plan, which they claimed has unlimited data, texts, and calls. Users will get 30 GB of data per month but may experience speed throttles beyond that. They may also make calls to 80 countries and send texts to 200 countries.

How Can I Get the Service?

Boost Infinities offers a variety of smartphones from brands like Samsung, iPhones, and Motorola. You may also bring your own phone, as long as it is compatible with the service and has an open line, as mentioned in The Verge.

The company claims that you may also have 1GB of data when traveling to other places like Canada or Mexico. All you have to do is sign up and go through a credit check. This will not affect your $25 monthly plan provided that your line remains active.

In its beta phase, the service is only available for iOS devices supporting eSIM. Once it is fully launched, it will feature support for eSIMs for both Android and iOS devices. It will also include access to the company's own 5G network, wherein the phone connects to the best connection.

What It Can Offer

Although it claims to be one of the top networks in America, reports say that the Boost Infinite plan's service will be provided via AT&T and T-Mobile's network. Dish already has its own network which is used by Project Genesis, another beta network of the company.

Boost Mobile CEO Stephen Stokols stated that Boost Infinite will not use the company's own network yet, but they have not provided a reason why that's the case. When asked, Dish spokesperson Meredith Diers did not provide any insight, saying that she won't get to specifics.

The beta is still a test phase for the company. They are running the service to determine which aspects need tuning or if there are any problems that need fixing. Boost Infinite will fully launch in the first quarter of 2023, which was initially said to be in late 2022.

Despite using AT&T and T-Mobile's networks, for the time being, Stokols is already boasting of taking on the two mentioned networks as well as Verizon. He expressed that they plan on taking a huge part of the share in the market, wherein there are 300 million subscribers between the three networks.

Stokols said that they will achieve this through simplicity and that the pricing will be significantly lower. He claims that the pricing will be 50% cheaper than the well-known networks for a single line, which is the proposition Stokols mentioned as "disruptive."

This is made possible by Boost Infinite not spending money the way incumbents are. They are building a new kind of open network that is cloud-native 5G. It will rely on software, so it will not be as expensive as traditional networks, as mentioned in Fierce Wireless.

If you want to sign up, you may visit their website. As of right now, Boost Infinite is still not affiliated with any stores, and the website is the only access for the service.
