Apple Promotion Includes Gift Cards and Limited Edition AirTags for Japanese New Year

Apple is having a promotion for two days to celebrate the Japanese New Year. It will be held from January 2nd to 3rd, wherein customers in Japan can get a gift card or a limited edition AirTag depending on which Apple products they bought.

New Year, New Devices

Apple customers in Japan can receive gift cards that range from ¥4,000, which is what you get when you buy accessories like second-generation AirPods, up to ¥32,000, which comes with the purchase of a 14-inch or 16-inch MacBook Pro.

As for the limited edition AirTags, they are engraved based on the occasion, so it has a Year of the rabbit design. This will go to the first 30,000 customers in Japan who buy an iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 12, or iPhone SE.

Before you get too excited, there are terms that you have to abide by in order to participate in the promotion, as mentioned by MacRumors. For instance, you will not receive the Apple AirTag if you purchased via the Apple Store app.

The promo also applies to Apple products with carrier plans, granted that they are bought from eligible stores. The people who buy Apple products with loans or credit card installments, however, will not be able to participate in the promotion.

If you want to return the product for an exchange or a refund, you will also have to return the promotional product received along with the eligible product. If you order online, the promotional product, eligible product, and promotional products could be delivered separately.

Buyers can receive up to two promotional and special edition products for each product category listed below. Apple may change the terms and conditions or end the promotion at any time. They can also turn away customers that aren't eligible for the promotion like nonprofits, public institutions, resellers, and more.
