Massive Entertainment Creative Director Teaser Details

Gamers have eagerly been waiting for news about Ubisoft's upcoming "Star Wars" for two years since Ubisoft announced its collaboration with Lucasfilm. However, they may soon change with the teaser Gerighty tweeted on his official Twitter account.

According to the tweet, Gerighty said that 2023 would be "huge" for Massive Entertainment, along with a picture of the "Star Wars'" logo, along with the logos of Ubisoft, Lucasfilm Games, and Massive Entertainment.

He also added a New Year's greeting and the hashtag "#MassiveStarWars" to end the tweet, which solidified the idea that the tweet is a teaser for "Star Wars" fans waiting for information on the game, despite it being cryptic.

GameRanx's article agrees with this idea, with the publication saying that the tweet is the first indication that the gaming community could be hearing news about the game or even a trailer of it in the near future.

Open-World 'Star Wars' Game Progress

Not much is known about Massive Entertainment's progress regarding the game, as information about the game is scarce at best. However, Ubisoft was reportedly sourcing playtesters for the upcoming game, which could mean that the game's progress has been smoothly going on in the background all this time, per Video games Chronicle.

We may know more about the game soon if Gerighty's teaser is to be believed. But until then, it is merely a teaser to something potentially big.

What We Know About The Open-World 'Star Wars' Game

What we do know is that the game will be a "new story-driven open world game set in the 'Star Wars' Galaxy," per Games Radar's report.

Additionally, Massive is working on making the game a unique game in the "Star Wars" universe with a story and a set of characters players can relate to and connect with.

Gerighty said that Massive wants to take what is familiar and resonant about "Star Wars" and tell stories of brand new characters who have their own motivations and stakes.

Furthermore, the game is intended to utilize the best technological advancements the gaming industry has while also using the Snowdrop game engine to innovate the game's world-building and gameplay.

For those unaware, the Snowdrop game engine is a game-agnostic engine created by Massive and Ubisoft that provides developers the control and flexibility they need to innovate the best games possible for gamers.

It is also said to be efficient, agile, and powerful enough to bring various ambitious AAA games to players without inconveniencing developers.
