CES 2023: EcoFlow Announces 3 New, Portable Battery-Powered Devices

Today at the prestigious Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 in Las Vegas, home backup power giant EcoFlow launched three new devices, according to The Verge.

The company that's known for its battery-powered devices announced a refrigerator/ice maker, an air conditioner/heater, and a robotic lawnmower/leaf collector.

All of the new products from EcoFlow are portable, whole-home battery backup kits that can be used in residential homes, off-grid cabins, and RVs.

The EcoFlow Glacier Will Keep Things Cold or Frozen for You

The EcoFlow Glacier is a battery-powered portable fridge, freezer, and ice cube maker. Not only does the device not need ice, rather, it also makes it.

According to EcoFlow, the integrated icemaker can make a batch of ice cubes in just 12 minutes flat. While the ice cubes aren't exactly slow-melting craft ice, it is good enough if you are living off the grid.

It is equipped with a removable 297-watt-hour battery that can power it for up to 24 hours on a single charge. Moreover, it can be topped up directly using solar panels. EcoFlow said it would gladly supply the panels if needed by the customers.

According to Digital Trends, similar to the Furrion Rova that debuted at CES 2019, the cold space in the device is divided into two compartments. One of them is to keep things cold, while the other one is to keep things frozen.

Another surprising feature of the Glacier is you can charge gadgets from it since there's a battery built right in.

Expect the EcoFlow Glacier to be available in April.

EcoFlow Combines an Air Conditioner and a Heater in Wave 2

The EcoFlow Wave 2 is a portable air conditioner that's a follow-up to the original unit released by the company last year.

The device has been upgraded this year as it now includes a heater. With the upgrade, it is now a far more practical four-season purchase for people living in a remote cabin or RV.

The EcoFlow Wave 2 can run up to eight hours off a removable battery. It can be charged over solar, and AC outlets.

While the previous model of Wave could only move 4,000 BTUs, the upgraded model has a cooling capacity of 5,100 BTUs. That's comparable with the smallest size of traditional window air conditioners.

Since the device can also serve as a heater, you can also use it on chilly nights as it can also work as a heat pump for a more efficient way of electric heating. It's rated 6,100 BTUs when it comes to heating.

At 14 kg, the EcoFlow Wave is quite portable for off-the-grid activities and locations. You can expect it to hit the market starting sometime in May.

EcoFlow Blade Will Revolutionize Lawn Management

With EcoFlow Blade, the company claimed that it will "revolutionize" lawn care. According to EcoFlow, the robotic lawnmower has the "world's first lawn sweeper kit" that attaches to the back to collect leaves.

The Blade supports virtual boundaries. Moreover, it also supports automatic route planning and obstacle avoidance. In addition, it employs automatic docking when it needs a charge.

You are also sure that your device is safe because it features 4G anti-theft protection, which will alert the owner of its location. Likewise, the device cannot be used if stolen because it only works with a single registered ID.

The Ecoflow Blade will also be available sometime in April, according to The Verge.
