HoYoverse To Make Dehya, Mika Playable on Genshin Impact 3.5 Update

Two much-awaited Genshin Impact characters introduced in the past patches may soon become playable.

Game developer HoYoverse recently tweeted character artwork for the Eremite's Flame-Mane, Dehya, and the Knights of Favonius' Land Surveyor, Mika, seemingly implying they will soon become playable in a future update.

HoYoverse initially introduced Dehya and Mika during and in between the Sumeru Archon quest, specifically between 3.0 and 3.3.

HoYoverse 3.5 Character Teaser Details

HoYoverse didn't officially disclose any information regarding which update Dehya and Mika will become playable for players. However, the company's teasers came at a time when the game's 3.4 update, which comes with the annual Lantern Rite Festival, is just around the corner.

This timing means that Dehya and Mika will probably become playable on Mar. 1, per Game 8

Players should be familiar with Dehya by now, with her playable a prominent role in the events of the game's Sumeru Archon quest storyline. She was an Eremite mercenary renowned for her strength and fierceness in battle, earning her the nickname "Flame-Mane" among her people.

She made her first appearance in Genshin Impact's update 3.0 when the Traveler followed a Sumeru noblewoman to get answers on how to meet the region's archon, Lesser Lord Kusanali. At the time, the noblewoman's family hired Dehya to accompany and protect her from harm due to her deteriorating health.

Since then, she has become a loyal and trustworthy friend to the Traveler.

Meanwhile, Mika made his first appearance during the initial events leading to the Weinlesefest event, which took place in the game's 3.1 update. At the time, Mika delivered and read a letter written by Knights of Favonius Grandmaster Varka to his subordinates remaining in Mondstadt about his party's status, goings-on, and well-wishes to all those in the city attending the event.

Although the Traveler tried to hold a conversation with the Knights of Favonius' Land Surveyor, he bashfully excused himself in haste due to him not knowing much about them.

Mika wasn't seen in the game since, though his possible addition in the game's 3.5 update could mean he will be playing a major role in either the game's storyline or limited-time event.

Gameplay Information About Dehya, Mika

HoYoverse, through its teaser art, and Genshin Impact's storyline confirmed that Dehya would be a claymore user wielding a pyro vision. Although the company didn't reveal her abilities and constellations as of press time, her constellation may be named "Mantichora."

Meanwhile, Mika could be the first cryo catalyst in Genshin Impact, with him holding a book in his character art - an item commonly associated with catalyst characters. Much like Dehya, HoYoverse didn't reveal his abilities and constellations, but it did say that his constellation's name would be "Palumbus."

Unfortunately, HoYoverse didn't mention if either Dehya, Mika, or both of them would be a four-star or five-star character. Regardless, fans of the game were excited about HoYoverse's reveal and teasers as many of them have been waiting for the company to make them playable since their first appearance.
