If you're looking for an app that delivers consistency and even some savings here and there using promos, then DoorDash is the food delivery app you're looking for on National Pizza Day.

Recently ranked as the best on-demand food delivery service, per Fortune, DoorDash comes with a helpful menu of icons that let you search by type of food or by rating level, and pricing level, and filter out places that can deliver food to you in 30 minutes or less.

It is available in more than 800 cities in the US but isn't as widely available as the next on our list.

The former "Lord of the Delivery Apps" still has some fight left in it, and could perhaps reclaim its former title for itself with it being available in more than 1000 cities all over the US.

The delivery app has connections with more than 50,000 restaurants, snack bars, and cafes, providing users with an extensive list of options they can choose from. If you're looking to try a new pizzeria this time around instead of chain restaurants, you might satisfy your curiosity with GrubHub.

What's more, it has a very customizable and user-friendly menu and user interface that makes ordering through the app easy to do.

Uber Eats - Speed

Uber's food delivery arm can deliver your food as its drivers deliver you to your home - and as fast too.

The standalone food delivery app shares many of the same features as its parent app, like estimated delivery times and cashless transactions.

It also comes with a tracker that allows you to see where the delivery driver is and how soon you can eat.

But what makes it stand out is the speed it can deliver your food to you - a welcome service in emergencies such as parties or you have nothing to cook. Unfortunately, this speed may be due to the company having more connections to fast food joints than local options.

Postmates - Convenience

If you want your pizza to come with alcohol, Postmates is the app you're looking for.

The app is much like its competitors. It comes with a simple interface that users can easily navigate by themselves. Additionally, it comes with options that can help you save money, such as joining a Party - an order from a place that is trending at the time to get free delivery.

However, its trademark feature is its ability to deliver just about anything to you from just about anywhere, including alcoholic drinks for National Pizza day.

Last but not least, it offers 24/7 service, allowing you to get your pizza fix anytime.

goPuff - Easy Searching

goPuff is mainly a food delivery service, but it goes beyond that. It initially focused on delivering food to customers but it eventually branched into delivering just about anything to customers.

Much like Postmates, you can have your pizza delivered along with your groceries if you so wish. This also includes electronics and even clothing.

However, what's unique about goPuff is its smooth and AI-based search algorithms, allowing you to search not just by the product or company's name, but also the category name.

Additionally, you can make a collection of your favorite food items for ordering later.
