ChatGPT Has Replaced Humans In the Workforce, A Survey Reveals

Microsoft-owned ChatGPT has begun replacing employees at work as some companies have installed the AI chatbot to complete tasks that were previously completed by employees.

According to Pune Mirror, companies who use ChatGPT reported financial savings, with 48% saving over $50,000 and 11% saving over $100,000.

Concerns About Chat GPT's Integrity Continue To Rise

According to a recent survey, the ChatGPT chatbot from OpenAI has been used in more than half of the American organizations that were studied.

According to a survey conducted by Resumebuilder.com with 1000 business owners, approximately half of these companies revealed that ChatGPT has already replaced a lot of their personnel.

According to Stacie Haller, Chief Career Counselor at Resumebuilder.com, although this new technology is still in its early phases, employees should start considering how it may alter their responsibilities.

This is because, according to the survey's findings, companies are aiming to use ChatGPT to simplify various job duties.

ChatGPT has generated interest since its release in November 2022 because of its promise to simplify a range of professional tasks, including writing programming, copywriting, customer support, and document summaries.

In the meantime, questions have been raised regarding the reliability of ChatGPT as well as any possible prejudice or cheating, Interesting Engineering notes.

Moreover, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, cautioned against utilizing ChatGPT for "anything critical" in response to critics' worries about the dangers of relying too heavily on AI technology.

Still, it is important to note that artificial general intelligence (AGI) carries a significant risk of abuse, tragic mishaps, and societal upheaval.

"Because the upside of AGI is so great, we do not believe it is possible or desirable for society to stop its development forever; instead, society and the developers of AGI have to figure out how to get it right," Altman says.

Despite these concerns, business leaders seem to be impressed by ChatGPT's performance, with 55% saying the chatbot's job quality is "excellent."

Chatbot Might Bring Big Impact On The Future

It is yet unclear how businesses' adoption of ChatGPT and other AI tools will affect the labor market and job searchers as they develop.

Haller claimed that the economics of using ChatGPT are also shifting and that she is curious to see how this would affect financial savings and employment restructuring.

According to Interesting Engineering, 93% of businesses who utilize ChatGPT intend to increase their usage.

Additionally, 90% of executives think that, assuming it has not already eliminated their jobs, the ChatGPT experience is helpful for job searchers.

However, because of this, critics also believe that the utilization of ChatGPT may lead to more employee layoffs in the future.

In fact, when asked whether ChatGPT will result in any layoffs by the end of 2023, 33% of corporate executives respond "definitely," while 26% respond "probably."

Although the future of AI chatbots like ChatGPT is unknown, it is evident that companies are utilizing the technology more and more.
