Latest The Sims 4 DLC Lets Users Customize Babies

Babies are finally coming to The Sims 4's base game thanks to a recent update, which is something that gamers have been waiting for a while.

Now that they can crawl, eat, babble, and even breastfeed, newborns are fully interactive and functional Sims, IGN details.

The Sims 4 Babies Are Now Fully Customizable

Before users' Sims become toddlers, the addition of Babies as a brand-new life stage will enable significant user interaction with them.

With its life simulation, The Sims 4, EA has revealed a new DLC that focuses on babies and allows players to connect with them in new ways, completely design the baby, and more.

Users can now employ a new feature called Science Baby thanks to the Growing Together DLC, which enables them to use "genetic material" and make a baby through scientific means.

The gameplay is significantly more simplified because Sims can pick up and hold infants while they carry out other tasks and will automatically deal with the baby if it starts to cry.

Babies are distinguished from toddlers and children by a limited but distinct visual and animation package, IGN reports.

The Sims 4 development team teased footage and provided some insights into the process of creating the Baby life stage during a recent Behind the Sims livestream from the official The Sims YouTube channel.

Users can learn the following from this about the potential interactions between Sims and infants in The Sims update:

  • Adult sims can now have babies through the power of science! They can now ask others to use a mix of their genetic material to create new life.

  • Sims will be able to stand up or sit down while holding an Infant.

  • Sims can talk to Infant Sims and interact with them in various ways.

  • Sims can nurse (including bottle feed and breastfeed) and feed Infants.

  • Sims can pass an Infant to another Sim.

  • Sims will be able to pick up and put Infants into their crib.

How Else Could Players Customize Their Sims Baby

Users may always use Create-a-Sim if that is not something they would be interested in, Game Spot notes.

Users can also anticipate seeing dozens of infant clothing items and intricate personalization possibilities down to teeth and birthmarks.

Players will be able to dress the babies in anything they want, including dresses, onesies, bucket hats, helmets, dress shirts, and tuxedos.

Newborns will have access to the whole spectrum of skin tones, eye colors, and more, making customization possible for all of the Sims.

Users can completely personalize the newborns in Create-a-Sim by choosing their costumes, haircuts, qualities, and more.

They can also completely customize the nurseries by choosing from a variety of furniture and decorations, according to Game Spot.

More ways to play and take care of your infant utilizing the Baby Playmat and Change Station will be introduced in the future DLC.

Additionally, because it will enable them to develop stronger ties, engagement with the infants will now be more crucial.

The baby will gain special reward traits as a result, improving their odds of forming healthy relationships when they get older.
