AT&T Moto X now available for $59.99

AT&T recently lowered the price of the Moto X from $199.99 to $99.99 when signing a new 2-year contract. Amazon is undercutting the carrier and offering the smartphone for $59.99.

The Moto X has been a popular smartphone and is the first handset released since Google acquired Motorola. Moreover, Moto X uses some of exclusive software features to set itself apart from rivals. Motorola has built special sensors into the Moto X that allow the smartphone to always be listening for its owner's commands. The smartphone learns the sound of your voice and will perform various tasks without you ever even having to touch the device. Simply say the phrase: "OK Google Now" followed by a command and you can check and send messages, find out the weather, get directions and more.

Motorola has also used those sensors to allow you to take a picture with the flick of a wrist. Just pick up the Moto X and twist your wrist, and the handset will automatically wake and open the camera application, no need to turn the smartphone on and open the app. Those are just some of the Moto X's exclusive features.

The AT&T Moto X features a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED HD display and is powered by a custom dual-core 1.7Ghz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with Motorola's X8 Computing System and an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit (GPU). The smartphone ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is expected to receive an update to Android 4.3 in the near future. The handset includes 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM.

It is packing a 10-megapixel rear camera with the ability to record 1080p video and also has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. When it comes to connectivity, the Moto X includes a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. Motorola has included a 2,200 mAh battery that can get up to 13 hours of talk time.

The AT&T Moto X can be purchased for $59.99 via Amazon when signing a new 2-year contract. The retailer is also including free two-day shipping with the order.
