After briefly selling out, 16GB Nexus 5 is back in stock through Google Play Store

The Nexus 5 officially went on sale through the Google Play Store on Oct. 31 and the $349 16GB model quickly sold out. The smartphone is now back in stock from Google.

The newly-launched Nexus 5 is the poster child for Android 4.4 KitKat and brings high-end specs and features at a low price. Google sells the Nexus 5 unlocked through Google Play. The company has always offered customers an unlocked Nexus smartphone that contains the hardware Google is using to showcase its latest version of Android. The Nexus 5 continues that tradition by selling the 16GB version of the smartphone unlocked for $349, while the 32GB version goes up to $399.

The 16GB Nexus 5 was very popular with consumers, as the smartphone completely sold out through the Google Play Store shortly after going on sale. If you're looking for a 16GB Nexus 5, you'll he happy to know that the model is now back in stock.

The Nexus 5 features a 4.95-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display with a pixel density of 445 pixels-per-inch (ppi) and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit (GPU) and 2GB of RAM.

Google has included an 8-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and improved HDR+ mode, as well as a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and the ability to record 30FPS 1080p video. The smartphone's wireless capabilities are expected to include a 4G LTE radio, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/nc, Bluetooth 4.0 with Bluetoooth 40 LE abilities, NFC, and GPS. The Nexus 5 will be offered in 16GB and 32GB internal storage variants and use a 2,300mAh battery. It measures in at 69.17mm wide, 137.84mm tall, and 8.59mm thick and weighs 130g.

You can purchase the unlocked 16GB Nexus 5 from the Google Play Store for $349 in choice of black or white. Google's latest shipping estimates quote a 3-4 weeks wait when placing the order, while the 32GB is showing a 2-3 weeks wait.
