Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong Launches on Steam May 25

The night will fall upon Steam in late May.

Game developer Big Bad Wolf recently announced that it would launch one of its latest story-driven RPGs, Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong, for the PC on May 25, allowing PC gamers using Steam to experience the game for themselves.

Big Bad Wolf previously released Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong on PlayStations 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via the Epic Games Store.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong Game Details

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong, which was adapted from the fifth edition of "Vampire: The Masquerade," per Games Press, focuses on the events involving the appearance and activities of a group of mysterious assassins who have attacked the Boston Camarilla, a secret society that governs most vampires in the city of Boston.

Players will control three vampires, all of them being a member of the Caramilla, to uncover the identity of the attackers and the motive behind their aggression against the Boston Camarilla through their viewpoints.

Interestingly, these characters, namely Galeb Bazory, Emem Louis, and Leysha have their own set of moralities, dilemmas, and terrors.

Since using supernatural powers is allowed during missions to uncover the identity of the Boston Camarilla attackers, players will have access to Galeb, Emem, and Leysha's unique skills and disciplines that players can modify depending on players' choices, per game publisher Nacon.

Players must successfully navigate rumors of conspiracies, murders, and power struggles to protect their clan, uncover the truth behind the attacks, and ensure that the Masquerade - vampire law that hides their existence from humans - remains uncompromised.

During the game's events, players will be presented with a variety of choices that would have consequences - both immediate and overarching - that can change the game's final outcome; there are fifteen different endings for the three main characters and the Boston Camarilla.

The game also features an original soundtrack worked on by Olivier Derivière, the composer of Techland's Dying Light 2 Stay Human and Ubisoft's DLC to Assassin's Creed IV: Black FlagAssassin's Creed Freedom Cry, per IMDb

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong Steam Release Details

Valve already listed Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong on Steam's platform, as evidenced by the game's store webpage. This move allows gamers to wishlist the game as early as Apr. 25 for them to be notified about the game's release.

Unfortunately, a quick look at the game's webpage doesn't show if it includes some, if not all, of the extra content offered in the game's editions.

The game's official website mentioned that its standard edition only has the base game, while its digital primogen edition contains the game's Artifacts Pack, the Victoria Ash DLC, a digital copy of its soundtrack, and the "Boston by Night" PDF.

It is unknown if gamers could buy their digital copy of the game through the game's official website.
