Verizon LG G2 leaks in white color option

Verizon may finally launch its long-awaited white version of the LG G2, according to a new leaked image of the smartphone.

LG has been trying to step up its game in the smartphone world and it looks like its efforts are starting to pay off. For the second year in a row, Google has chosen LG as the smartphone manufacturer to build its latest flagship handset, the Nexus 5. LG has also recently launched its own flagship smartphone, the LG G2, which is competing with the iPhone 5s, Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One.

The LG G2 has been a popular smartphone with consumers and smartphone fans. LG was able to get Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint to offer the LG G2 on an almost simultaneous launch, which doesn't happen very often. LG also used top of the line hardware inside the handset, including a 5.2-inch 1080p Full HD display, 2.26GHz quad-core processor and a high-end 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS).

The company also decided to place the LG G2's power and volume buttons on the back of the device to facilitate one-handed use. LG did some research and found that moving the buttons to the rear gives you more control, since that's where your index fingers are naturally located when holding the device. Verizon LG G2 owners got an exclusive wireless charging feature built-in, but they only got one color option. Big Red was the only carrier not to offer the LG G2 in a white color option, but it looks like things are about to change.

The always-reliable evleaks has posted an image of Verizon's white LG G2. The tipster hasn't revealed when we should expect to see the new color option on Verizon's network.

As a reminder, the LG G2 features a 5.2-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 423 pixels per inch (ppi). It is powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. LG has included a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat.

The smartphone's wireless connectivity options include a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. The LG G2 includes 32GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM. It packs in a large 3,000 mAh battery and Verizon's LG G2 model comes with wireless charging out of the box.

Verizon is currently offering the LG G2 for $149.99 when signing a new 2-year contract online and in its retail stores.
