5 Tips on Making Money in Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 is perhaps one of the best open-world RPGs out there since there's so much you can do. However, a lot of those activities might require in-game money, which is not exactly easy to come by. Here are some tips on how to earn money quickly in the game.

1. Go Hunting

This is maybe the easiest way to earn a quick buck in RDR2, but before you do, make sure you have the right firearms like a sniper rifle for big animals and a varmint rifle for small game. Once you do, start roaming around and look for three-star animals you can hunt.

Also, don't stop with pelts and meat. If the option is available, take the animal carcass with you since you can sell that to butchers and trappers as well. The better the quality, the higher the price. You can easily view if the animal has three stars by aiming at them.

2. Take on the Role of a Bounty Hunter

Bounty hunting is a side quest that can give you high earnings, depending on the target and the mission of course. Some bounties will require you to bring them back alive while others give you permission to shoot at sight, as pointed out by High Ground Gaming

You can find bounty posters in the sheriff's office in each town, or you can view the map if there's a bounty poster icon. It's also easy since the poster will already give you a hint on where to find the criminal. There's little work left when it comes to locating them.

3. Rob Banks, Stores, Trains, and People

You'll get a lot of money robbing banks and stores since they will empty their cash registers for you, but if you prefer a low-profile robbery, you can rob people you find on the roads. Although, smaller targets mean smaller payout.

If you're concerned about the honor system, which determines the kind of ending you'll get, this might not be the best choice. If you want to reduce the deduction in your meter, you can just hogtie a random stranger, rob them, and then leave them alive.

4. Loot as Many Bodies as You Can

There are missions where you are required to shoot a lot of enemies, and that means you'll have a lot of bodies to loot after it's done. If you're patient enough, you can loot every single one of them so you can find things you can sell to fences, as suggested by Games Radar.

If you're lucky, you'll find gold nuggets, ingots, and bars, which are the most valuable loot in the game. Mostly you'll find bands, necklaces, buckles, bands, rings, and earrings, but they also cost a lot especially if you've collected several before you head to a fence.

5. Don't Pay Off The Bounty on You

When a witness or the person you're assaulting reports you, you will get a bounty on your head. The amount depends on the crime you did. Don't pay it off and you'll have bounty hunters go after you. It sounds bad, but it's not the worst thing, as long as it's not too high.

Other than saving your money, the money and loot will come to you. All you have to do is kill the bounty hunters and loot them afterward. One tip though, stay on your horse when you're spotted. You'll be harder to kill on horse and you can easily escape when you can't beat them.
