The Sims 4’s Horse Ranch Expansion Leaks — When’s It Coming?

Are your Sims ready to horse-ride into the sunset?

EA and Maxis have recently teased the next expansion for The Sims 4, which could be equine-centered based on the picture it posted on the platform.

However, the expansion's contents got leaked before EA and Maxis could officially introduce The Sims 4's upcoming expansion.

The Sims 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Details

EA posted a teaser video of The Sims 4's next expansion on its official The Sims Twitter page with the caption: "Take the reins this season with The Sims!" Meanwhile, the video it posted stated that the next expansion would contain two "Bold Kits," and something about "Behind the Sims" and more.

While it's unclear what EA And Maxis meant by the last two, the video did show that the game's expansion pack will take players to the desert reminiscent of the Grand Canyon, where they could "take the reins."

Horse-riding puns aside, it's clear that EA and Maxis are releasing an expansion pack centered on horses - a fact that became much clearer when the Sims Community fan page (or at least its source, Steam leak) completely leaked the expansion pack in question.

The Sims 4's next expansion pack, "Horse Ranch," allows players to raise, train, and form bonds with customizable horses on their lot or within the new world the expansion comes with. Within this new world, players can have their sims live the ranch life - taking care of mini goats and sheep along with their horses, harvesting Prairie Grass to feed them, and collecting Horse Manure to fertilize their plants.

Sims can also go to the bar to meet friends, dance the day away at the dance hall, or have cookouts and dances on their own property. Managing a ranch is hard work, though - having a ranch hand can make the workload lighter.

Players can also have their sims train horses at the new world's equestrian park; the leak didn't specify which horse-related sports players could have their sims and horses do that would require training, unfortunately. However, the park does contain the equipment sims need to train themselves on horseback riding and their mount's agility and jumping skills.

Based on what the leaks show, it seems sims can train themselves and their horses for show jumping, a sport where horse riders attempt to jump cleanly through sets of obstacles within a specific time, per Topend Sports.

The Sims 4: Horse Ranch Availability, Pricing

The Sims 4: Horse Ranch expansion pack is rumored to become available for players of The Sims 4 on July 20 on all available platforms. The expansion pack likely follows EA's pricing scheme, meaning that Horse Ranch is priced at $39.99. Whether EA will change this pricing is highly unlikely, though, but we'll know more information about the expansion pack and its pricing when it releases the expansion pack's first official trailer on June 23.

Simmers can watch the trailer's release on the game's official YouTube channel.
