Samsung giving $50 Google Play Store credit to U.S. Galaxy Note 3 owners

If you're an owner of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, you've got $50 in Google Play Store credit coming your way courtesy of Samsung.

It's always nice to hear that you're entitled to something for owning a specific item, especially when you didn't expect it. U.S. Galaxy Note 3 owners will likely be extremely surprised and happy to know that Samsung is giving all U.S. Galaxy Note 3 owners $50 worth of Google Play Store credit.

The credit is only good for purchasing applications, not towards the purchase of a device or accessories. All you need to do is head over to Samsung's "Thank you for purchasing a Samsung Galaxy Note 3" page. Here you'll enter a few details for verification, such as your email, mobile phone number, address information, and Galaxy Note 3's IMEI number. Once you're finished entering your information you'll receive an email with your $50 Google Play Store credit. This gift from Samsung comes at a time when many people just got or will be getting a Galaxy Note 3 for the holidays and $50 worth of Google Play credit is an extremely generous offer and a great way to try out some great apps on your Galaxy Note 3.

As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a 5.7-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 386 pixels per inch (ppi) and runs Android 4.3 with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit (GPU) and 3GB of RAM. Its camera capabilities include a 13-megapixel illuminated rear camera with "smart stabilization" and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, with both cameras able to record 1080p HD video.

The Galaxy Note 3 includes 32GB of internal storage and has a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 64GB microSD cards. Its wireless connectivity options consist of a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, and an IR blaster to turn the Note 3 into a universal remote control that also features a dedicated program guide. Samsung has packed a large 3,200 mAh removable battery and enhanced S Pen functionality, and has also ditched its usually glossy plastic back case on the Note 3. Instead, the company decided to go for a faux-leather back that makes the phablet feel better and more secure in the hand and also has more of a premium look to it.

This gift from Samsung expires on Jan. 6, 2014, and is only good for Galaxy Note 3 smartphones purchased in the U.S.
