Bleach Anime Is Getting a New Online Multiplayer Game

"Bleach" fans can soon experience the hit anime and manga series for themselves.

Game developer Nuverse recently announced it had launched Bleach: Soul Resonance for mobile phones, allowing gamers and fans of the series to experience the story themselves anytime and anywhere.

Nuverse is a global game development and publishing brand that released several successful games worldwide, such as MRVEL Snap, Mission EVO, and One Piece: Blood Routes.

Bleach: Soul Resonance Features

Nuverse mentioned in its announcement that Bleach: Soul Resonance, is a 3D action game for mobile devices and licensed by the TV animation "Bleach." It allows players to roleplay as protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki and other fan favorites from the series as they experience the series' story again in a new way, per Sportskeeda.

The game comes with an updated look that fans would appreciate. It uses the updated style of the "Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" TV anime series, giving the game a modern look compared to the visuals "Bleach" fans are familiar with when the anime first aired on TV, per Games Press. The game's development team incorporated "high-quality reimagined art" through cel shading rendered graphics, which highlight details and the texture of light and shadow.

The game also features articles and models to create incredible graphics while ensuring a realistic, streamlined view, thanks to the development team. As a result, gamers and fans of the hit anime and manga will get to see the game with a more modern look.

As for gameplay, Bleach: Soul Resonance is a turn-based action game where players control Ichigo and his allies, Orihime Inoue, Yasutora Sado, and Uryu Ishida, to defeat enemies. As such, players must form strategies to defeat particular foes and use and combine abilities that synergize together to take them down more efficiently.

The game features an original storyline, though the game will follow the series' storyline from the anime and manga. As such, players get to go up against the likes of Rukia Kuchiki and her brother, Byakuya, and Kenpachi Zaraki.

Interestingly, while Nuverse didn't disclose hints about Bleach: Soul Resonance's original plot, the game's trailer Nuverse released on Twitter featured scenes from the series' first season and the "Soul Society" arc. The appearance of these scenes could mean that some classic scenes from the original series are present in-game.

Bleach: Soul Resonance Availability, Price

As previously mentioned, Bleach: Soul Resonance will be available for gamers and fans of the anime and manga series to download on their mobile devices. While the game will be free upon release, Nuverse has yet to disclose a release date (or an estimate of it).

However, the game's official Twitter account assured fans that Nuverse will provide updates regarding the game's release date and more gameplay details.
