Life By You Early Access Details

Paradox Interactive announced it is scheduling Life By You's early access on March 5, 2024. According to Games Press, this move will give the game's development studio, Paradox Tectonic, the ability and time to improve the game's visuals and user interface.

A report from Game Rant added that the March 5 release would also give Paradox Tectonic time to refine Life By You's gameplay, fix bugs, and support two new languages - Italian and Portuguese. As of press time, the game can support English, French, Spanish, and German.

The game's original early access date was previously scheduled on Sept. 12, according to Gematsu. However, the improvements to the game's visuals and user interface mean that Paradox must delay it until March 5 to properly implement them for public testing.

If Paradox's announcement is to be believed, the visual enhancements the game developer plans to do includes better animations, more detailed character models, improved lighting, and new visual assets.

According to a video update from game director Rod Humble, these improvements will not only affect the game's overall look and feel but will also make it a more well-rounded experience for players. Humble was previously an executive at EA that helped develop The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 before leaving to join Linden Lab, the creator of Second Life, per The Verge

He added that Paradox Tectonic will reveal Life By You's new user interface later this week, along with its refined gameplay features that will allegedly provide a "more robust experience."

Aside from the UI and visuals, Paradox Tectonic will also fine-tune mod tools available for all players to explore and create. Although Paradox didn't mention if these mod tools will be available to players during Life By You's early access periodit is probable that they are so Paradox Tectonic can get player feedback about them.

About Life By You

Life By You is Paradox Interactive's first life simulation game; it allows players to design and live out the lives of the humans they create in a customizable open game world. Much like Maxis' The Sims games, Life Byy You players can create their households, build their homes, and tell life's many stories.

Unlike The Sims, player-created characters in Life By You use real languages rather than fictional ones like Simlish, the language spoken by Sims in The Sims games. Additionally, Life By You features the ability to switch from third-person to direct control gameplay, allowing players to connect with their creations on an emotional level.

A wide variety of Creator Tools and Editors will allow players to change every aspect of their creations' experience, allowing them to live life to the fullest - or break the rules as they see fit.
