Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Will Arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One

Star Wars fans can finally celebrate as Electronic Arts (EA) CEO, Andrew Wilson, confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is headed on PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One.

"Thanks to the strength of this legendary franchise and community demand, our development team has committed to bringing this Jedi experience to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One," Wilson stated during the company's Q1 earnings call.

However, no exact date was revealed on when the Jedi: Survivor will be available on these consoles. While waiting, fans can still play the game in PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Gameplay

The game continues the adventure of a Jedi knight, Cal Kestis, in his pursuit to save the galaxy against darkness. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes place five years after the ending of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

From a young Jedi Knight in Fallen Order to a seasoned Jedi Knight in Survivor, Cal will be introduced to new Force powers, lightsaber stances, enhanced abilities, and more. All of these are significant factors to help him succeed in his mission.

It was initially released through newer consoles such as PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows, last April. Fortunately, due to the franchise's unending support and massive success, EA gave in and has been developing its launch to PS4 and Xbox One.

Moreover, the sequel puts emphasis on customization wherein players can customize Cal's outfit and appearance. Currently, a deluxe edition is available through the existing platforms, allows more customizable options for players.

What's Next for Star Wars Jedi Series

Although EA revealed that the company is already in early stages of developing the game to PS4 and Xbox One, it clarified that the company will put top priority to the development of the current-gen game.

Despite PS5 breaking the selling point of over 40 million consoles, its predecessor, PS4 remains a relevant console for some gamers. In fact, some gamers would rather not upgrade on PS5 and continues to play on their previous generation console.

Regardless, the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a must-wait game for avid gamers owning previous generation console.
