The Corsair Platform:6 Modular Desk is Every PC Owner’s Dream

PC owners carefully pick out computer desks that will fit their needs, sometimes even buying individual components from different stores because the ones available simply won't do. Corsair is addressing that problem as it releases every PC user's dream desk, equipped with everything they can possibly need.

Platform:6 Base Build

The versatile modular desk is created for all sorts of purposes, whether it's for gamers, professionals, or content creators. Although the base product already has everything a PC setup could need, it is still built to be able to accommodate add-ons.

The table top itself is already more than wide enough to fit two monitors and a PC tower with its six-foot wide surface area. With a lot of space to spare, users can also add a sound system and other computer accessories that they could need.

The top of the table surface is equipped with a modular rail system using an aluminum T-channel crossbar, side rails, and top-mounted rails, which hold two monitor mounts that can be adjusted in height and position.

Potential for Expansion

The rail system is also built for flexible mounting methods so that users can add their own 3D-printed accessories, further adding to its personalization adaptability. If six feet of surface space is not enough, Corsair offers side extensions for an extra 30cm x 70cm space.

Corsair subsidiary Elgato offers Multi Frame top-mounted pegboard exclusive to Platform:6, which is positioned just behind the monitors. This provides additional storage space for accessories like game controllers, keyboards, headsets, speakers, and more.

In addition to the pegboards, Elgato also has Multi-Mount and Flex Arm products, which are perfect for content creators who use cameras, microphones, lighting, and other accessories, all of which can be mounted directly to the rail system.

Cable Management

The company has already thought of cable management as well. The CORSAIR RapidRoute wire management tray lets users hide the cables of the PC setup, even being big enough to hold power strips for low-effort cable management.

The tray is built like a storage cubby which is designed with USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports, effectively decreasing the need for more wires when it comes to power sources for other devices that the PC might need.

Customization

Once Platform:6 officially launches in the fourth quarter of 2023, buyers will have the option to choose the appearance of the desk. The surface color options include "classic dark walnut-stained environmentally friendly rubberwood" and sturdy black laminate.

With the Platform:6 Creator Edition, users can further adjust the height for the Elgato Multi Frame expansion. An online configurator allows custom configurations that can be designed and purchased.

There's an option for a build with adjustable height as well. It can be controlled with an LCD readout controller with push-button adjustment and memory presets, wherein the dual electric motors can position the table surface at a desired height.

For concerns, buyers can reach out to Corsair's worldwide customer service and technical support network. The modular desk is covered by a five-year warranty, so users can rest assured that long-term inadequacies can be resolved.
