5 Cancelled Netflix Shows That Need to Come Back

Have you ever felt disappointed in watching a TV series and then finding out that the show will be canceled? Sadly, this is an inevitable practice in the entertainment industry leaving fans yearning for their return. 

Here are some of the Netflix shows that fans might want to come back:

'Anne With an E' (2017-2019)

"Anne With an E" is one of the most beloved Netflix show that was canceled. The series is based on the classic novel "Anne of Green Gables". The story follows the story of Anne Shirley as the show portrayed feminism, LGBTQ+ representation, racism, religion, and other modern social issues. 

The series even won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Dramatic Series in 2017 and 2018. "Anne with an E" gained a solid and passionate fanbase that was enraged upon the cancelation of the show. Fans have been calling for campaign to continue the show with #RenewAnneWithanE slogan. 

'1899' (2022)

Set in the late 19th century, "1899" is a historical-horror series that follows a group of European immigrants as they are boarded the USS McClaren. The group encounters mysterious and supernatural events during their journey to the America. 

While the show was highly anticipated due to the success of "Dark", the show was canceled after only one season. Show creators released a statement saying that "things don't turn out the you planned." Many fans were enraged as the series left a big cliffhanger by the end of the season.  

'Fate: The Winx Saga' (2021-2022)

"Fate: The Winx Saga" is a teen drama series based on the popular animate series "Winx Club." The whole series was lauded for sticking with the original ensemble of the animated series. The first season was watched by 57 million of subscribers while the second season spent five weeks on Netflix's Global Top 10 shows.

The story follows Bloom as she start her journey in Alfea in Otherworld. There she met fairies and specialists that would eventually help her discover more about her past. However, fans never really saw what will happen to the story as the show was canceled after its second season. 

'Santa Clarita Diet' (2017-2019)

"Santa Clarita Diet" is a comedy-horror series starred by Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant. The story follows how Shiela's life changed literally after becoming zombie. The show was known for its comedic antics as Shiela finds a way to live normally while craving human flesh. 

Despite having positive reviews and dedicated fanbase, the show was eventually canceled after three season. Fans were clearly disappointed to see that a show with a unique blend of comedy and horror will be canceled. 

'Mindhunter'  (2017-2019)

"Mindhunter" is a pyschological crime-thriller series produced by David Fincher. The show was set between late 1970s and 1980s as the Behavioral Science Unit of FBI was founded. 

The series was praised for its storytelling and the eerie performances of each actors. In February 2023, Fincher confirmed that the show is officially done citing that it was too expensive to produce.
