Walmart Expands Prepaid Phone Plans with Wireless Service MobileX

Walmart Inc. partnered with wireless service provider, MobileX, to further expand its current prepaid phone plans.

Walmart and MobileX Multi-Year Exclusive Agreement 

Starting October, MobileX will be offering prepaid plans for Walmart customers. MobileX initially launched its customized prepaid mobile plans last February before partnering with Walmart. 

The plans included are Mobile X Personalized Access which is a customizable plan that starts at $4.08 per month. Using this plan, users will only pay for what they used and the surplus data will be carry over to the next month. In addition, customers can also avail talk and text add-ons. 

Meanwhile, the MobileX Basic Unlimited is divided into two price bracket. The $14.88 per month plan offers a 5GB of high-speed data with unlimited calls and text. On the other hand, the $24.88 offers an unlimited data with 30GB of high-speed data and unlimited calls and text including Mexico and Canada. Other plans, would have to pay an additional fee to avail the unlimited calls and text to Mexico and Canada. 

MobileX's Customized Approach 

MobileX's uses a unique app-based service that is equipped with AI that helps in predicting the data needed b the customers. The company promotes its customized approach as a way of reducing cost both for the consumer and the company. 

"We created MobileX to keep consumers connected and enhance their mobile experience without breaking the bank," MobileX CEO Peter Adderton said in a statement

MobileX plans is compatible with most unlocked iPhone and Android devices. The MobileX Activation SIM Kit is now available for $9.88 on the Walmart site
