T-Mobile Migrates Customer to New Plans

According to the announcement, the plan will apply to users who are currently on One, Simple Choice, Magenta, and Magenta 55 Plus plans. For instance, Simple Choice users will migrate to Magenta and Essentials Select. Meanwhile, Magenta and One users will be bumped to Go5G with the Magenta 55 Plus going to Go5Gbuy 55 Plus. For the business tier, Simple Choice Business will migrate to Business Unlimited Advanced.

According to a notice posted on Reddit, T-Mobile will start to roll out the notifications by October 17. Customers will receive SMS and email notifications about the changes which will include a link to a landing page with the plan details.

Fortunately, T-Mobile is giving their users a choice to opt out of the changes. They can still retain their old plans by simply calling T-Mobile's Customer Care support line before their November bill cycle.

T-Mobile's Upgraded Plans

The migration date is expected to be different for everyone as the timing will depend on the customer's bill cycle. Regardless, it will all begin to reflect with the November invoice and will start around November 14 by bill cycle.

Moreover, T-Mobile reminded customers will not be entitled to a bill probation since they have simply migrated to a new plan. The price increase is still not confirmed as of the moment but customers might see a $5 or $10 increase per line.

"We're always looking for ways to give our customers more from our services so we're moving a small number who were on older rate plans to newer plans that will deliver them enhanced features," T-Mobile explained to CNET.
