Humane AI Pin Price Leak, Specs, and More

The company has been teasing its first device for a few months now. In the obtained documents by The Verge, it was revealed that the AI Pin is a wearable device that acts like a smartphone but has no screen. The square-shaped device clips magnetically to clothes or other surfaces.

However, this is more than just a simple clip. It is also a battery pack, making it possible to swap new batteries in order to keep the device running throughout the day. Based on the leak, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has a camera, depth, and motion sensors that can track and record. It is also equipped with a "personic speaker" and can connect to Bluetooth headphones.

The "no-screen" concept might seem strange but Humane managed to come up with new ways to navigate the Pin without it. The device is primarily a voice-controlled device but there is also an option to use the green laser projector which can project information to the user's hand. There is also a touchpad in the device and a "Trust Light" which will indicate if the device is recording.

Humane Comes With Additional Monthly Subscription

Aside from the device's one-time price, it will also come with a $24 monthly subscription. This includes a phone number and cell data that runs on T-Mobile's network. The Humane subscription also has cloud storage for photos and videos.

Interestingly, the Pin's operating system, Cosmos, will act as a system to navigate through various AIs and tools that are needed by the user. There have been rumors that the device is powered by GPT-4, if it's true then Cosmos will act like a ChatGPT plugins system wherein new features or data can be added to your AI assistant. Based on the obtained document, it really looks like the device will be a clip-on AI assistant.

The Humane AI Pin will officially be released on November 9. The company also informed that the people who signed up on the waitlist will get early access to the get the Pin and will be prioritized for delivery.
