Verizon DROID ULTRA by Motorola with Android 4.4 KitKat on sale for $19.99

You can now pick up the Verizon DROID ULTRA by Motorola for $19.99 when signing a new 2-year contract instead of its normal price of $99.99.

The DROID ULTRA is one of Verizon's most powerful smartphones and it's also the carrier's thinnest, measuring in at a mere 7.18mm. Its Gorilla Glass display and Dupont Kevlar fiber unibody case also make it one of its most durable handsets. Since the DROID ULTRA is a Motorola device, you can expect to receive timely updates to Android as Google pushes them out. It's currently running the latest version of Android 4.4 KitKat OS out of the box, something many current Android smartphones are still waiting for.

The Verizon DROID ULTRA also ships with some of the unique software features found in the flagship Moto X. You'll be able to issue commands to the DROID ULTRA, without having to touch or wake the smartphone, by simply using your voice. Like the Moto X, the DROID ULTRA is always listening for its owner's voice and is ready to spring into action when it hears your voice, and your voice only.

Amazon currently has the Verizon DROID ULTRA on sale for $19.99 when signing a new 2-year contract, which is a nice savings over the $99.99 the carrier charges online and in its retail stores.

As a reminder, the Verizon DROID ULTRA features a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 and runs the latest version of Android 4.4 KitKat. It is powered by Motorola's X8 Mobile Computing System, which uses a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and a quad-core graphics processing unit (GPU).

It ships with 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM. Its camera capabilities include a 10-megapixel rear camera that can record 1080p HD video and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and selfies. Its wireless connectivity options consist of a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. The DROID ULTRA is packing a non-removable 2,130 mAh battery that will provide up to 28 hours of talk time and up to 13 days of standby time on a single charge.

You can order the Verizon DROID ULTRA in choice of black or red for $19.99 when signing a new 2-year contract. Amazon is also throwing in free two-day shipping to further sweeten the deal.
