Netflix’ ‘Pokémon Concierge’ Series Trailer is Out and It Looks Promising

There's no shortage of Pokémon content out there, whether it's shows, movies, or video games, but we haven't really had new content in a bit. However, thanks to Netflix, we'll be seeing a charming stop-motion series soon.

'Pokémon Concierge' Out Soon

For fans of the Pokémon franchise, the job of the protagonist would be a dream come true. The main character Haru has been employed as the new concierge at the Pokémon Resort, which serves as a "peaceful getaway for Pokémon to relax and have fun."

The trailer shows Haru arriving at the resort and already showing enthusiasm over her new job. You'll see Pokémon characters that are easily recognizable like Pikachu, Rattata, Mudkip, Psyduck, Snorlax, Magikarp, Bulbasaur, Dragonite, and more.

The funny thing is that Pikachu will not be in the spotlight this time as Psyduck will have more screen time than most. The little duck spends the most time with Haru such as hanging out by the campfire or eating ice cream with candy toppings.

The stop-motion animated series will be the first Netflix collaboration with The Pokémon Company, bringing Pokémon that look like plushies and toys to your screens. Haru will be voiced by Karen Fukuhura, who also did voice work in Studio Ghibli's "The Boy and the Heron."

For the Japanese dub, the voice actor for the protagonist would be Non, who also played a role in the animated film "In This Corner of the World." The series will be directed by Iku Ogawa with dwarf studios behind the production.

This might be disappointing for those who can't wait to binge Netflix's "Pokémon Concierge," but it will only be four episodes per season, and each episode will only be 14 to 20 minutes long. Still, we're just happy to see new Pokémon content, which will be released this December 28th.

Other Netflix Shows To Look Forward To

Netflix has a lot of projects on its way to release, whether it's a few months or a year from now. Aside from "Pokémon Concierge," there are several other titles you can expect from brand-new shows to the continuation of good ones.

One that's set to release in the early months of 2024 is "Avatar: The Last Airbender," which is the live-action adaptation of the beloved animated series that already has a huge fanbase. The show is set to be released on February 22, 2024.

Netflix has also posted an official trailer for the live-action series, and it looks like the streaming giant spared no expense to make it look good. After all, there is already a live adaptation of the animated series by M. Night Shyamalan, but it was heavily criticized for all the major innaccuracies.

Another show that already has a release window is "Arcane," which fans have been waiting for. However, it's not going to be released as soon as we'd hoped. The announcement revealed that we might be waiting around a year before we see the second season of the animated show.
