Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Drops Out of the List After Six Years

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was released by Nintendo in 2017, and from then on the game has been consistently selling well and has been on the top 20 list. However, GamesIndustry.biz reported that the game fell off the list for the month of October.

Analyst Mat Piscatella confirmed that the record was true. On the other hand, he cannot tell yet if it was an all-time record for the longest consecutive run in the top 20 but there is a big possibility for it.

On the other hand, it is still possible for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to bounce back for the succeeding month. The dropping can also be linked to the brand new releases that smoothly swoop on the top 20 such as the Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Spider-Man 2, Sonic Superstars, and more.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Remains Strong

Despite being a six-year-old game, Nintendo has no plans to back down its reign. Recently, the game released its Wave 6 featuring new treats for gamers.

Moreover, the Black Friday deals are still just around the corner and Nintendo is never the one to shy down on their deals. Most importantly, only the company knows the exact sales of the game per month as it never really shared the data to other third-party ranking services.

Currently, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe still holds the title of being the best-selling Nintendo Switch title with over 57 million units sold, and the second-best-selling Nintendo game ever after Wii Sports.
