The Time's 2023 "Person of the Year" was not included in the top 10 musicians this year in favor of Shakira, country singer Jason Aldean, and Joe Jonas.

Coincidentally, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made it to the Top 3 of the most searched athletes. Kelce's name made several headlines after his relationship with Swift was made public.

Despite being named "the most searched songwriter" in Google's promotional video for its annual Year In Search celebration, Swift or her record-breaking Eras Tour is nowhere to be seen. Not even in the Top 10 list.

Why is Taylor Swift not in the 2023 Year in Search?

There is an actual simple answer as to why Swift's name was never included in the list: she would just appear in almost every category.

Google spokesperson Colette Garcia told Gizmodo that the "lists make for more colorful and interesting data pulls," not suited for the American singer who "consistently has a high amount of Search interest."

As proof to that, Swift was recently named as Spotify's "Global Top Artist of the Year" with 27.2 billion streams in this year alone, setting herself a $131 million paycheck from the platform.

Swift's followers on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram have also significantly increased following the release of her interview with Time Magazine as its "Person of the Year" in 2023.

There is just so much Taylor Swift for this year that it would be unfair for other personalities to find the chance to shine.
