Nothing Phone 2a Hints Arrival With New Leaked Detail

Nothing Phone 2a was seen on the TUV certification regulatory website, hinting that the device is under the final checks before it launches.

The TUV is the Technical Inspection Association which handles the certification for electronics that are safe and ready to be released.

Nothing 2a Filing Spotted at TUV

While the filing does not reveal much about the upcoming Nothing 2a, it does show that it will have 45W fast charging support which is similar to the Nothing Phone 2. There are also rumors that the price will be 40% cheaper compared to Nothing Phone 2 which sells at $599.

Previously, some leaks revealed that the phone will feature a 6.7-inch display, RAM of up to 12GB, and internal storage of up to 256 GB. The device will also be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor.

Moreover, there is a possibility that it will be sold in two colors: black and white. When it comes to the camera system, it is suspected to have a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultrawide camera, and a 32 MP selfie camera.

Nothing Phone 2a as a Budget-Friendly Option

Last month, Nothing CEO Carl Pei confirmed that a new smartphone is about to debut this year. He also revealed that the device is under the codename" Aerodactyl", a common practice of the brand to name them after Pokemon.

The upcoming mid-range Nothing phone is expected to cost around $400 for the base model and will be a good option for people who are looking for a budget-friendly alternative to the Nothing Phone 2.

As of writing, there are no clues as to when the phone will be released. However, some experts are guessing that it could be on February 27 which is around the same time as the Mobile World Congress. Given that the phone is already in its TUV certification process, there is a big possibility.
