Nintendo Confirms Launch of 'Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door,' 'Luigi's Mansion 2 HD'

Nintendo revealed that "Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door" and "Luigi's Mansion 2 HD" will be released on May 23 and June 27, respectively.

The announcement was made during the Mario Day event, wherein several updates for the franchise were unveiled by Nintendo.

Nintendo Switch Introduces Two Revamped Super Mario Games as Exclusives

"Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door" is a role-playing game originally released in 2004. Two decades after its initial run, the game will be re-launched as a Nintendo Switch exclusive.

The remake was first announced during the September 2023 Nintendo Direct, but the company did not give a specific release date at the time. During the game's run, fans were delighted with its unique art style, which features paper cutouts.

Meanwhile, "Luigi's Mansion 2 HD" was first released as "Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon" on Nintendo 3DS. The game was popularly known for its supernatural elements and spooky environment.

Nintendo Preps for Princess Peach: Showtime!

While the release of the two remakes is still months away, Nintendo is now focusing on the upcoming release of "Princess Peach: Showtime!" The game will be available on Nintendo Switch starting March 22.

Last month, Nintendo unveiled additional transformations for Peach which will be used by players to enhance their gaming experience. The recent transformations include Figure Skater Peach, Dashing Thief Peach, Mermaid Peach and Strong Mighty Peach.

Other transformations will feature Swordfighter Peach, Detective Peach, Patissiere Peach, Kung Fu Peach, Ninja Peach, and Cowgirl Peach. Each transformation offers a different skill set to help Peach defeat the Wicked Grape.
