Cricket Wireless boasts upgraded ‘All In’ plan: 2.5GB data, unlimited talk, text for $35/month

Cricket Wireless has a neat new surprise for its customers, offering an upgraded "All In" plan that costs just $35 per month after a $5 auto-pay credit.

For those unfamiliar with this operator, Cricket Wireless is a prepaid carrier owned by AT&T. Cricket already has some of the best prepaid options for consumers in the U.S., allowing them to get neat discounts for multiple lines, auto-pay discounts, as well as affordable prices that already include all taxes and fees so they don't get any surprise charges. The prepaid operator is now upping its game, increasing the data included in its plans while still retaining the affordable pricing.

"Cricket will now offer the most value of any U.S. pre-paid wireless carrier with 2.5 GB of high speed data and unlimited nationwide talk and text for only $35 per month after $5 Auto-Pay credit ALL In (taxes and fees included), plus a nationwide network with more 4G LTE coverage than T-Mobile, Metro-PCS, Sprint, Boost and Virgin," reads a press release on Friday, Jan. 30.

"Starting today, for value seeking-customers, Cricket will also deliver a new plan with 20GB of high speed data and unlimited talk and text, a free month of service for customers making the switch to Cricket and discounted and free 4G and LTE smartphones*, all for a limited time.  Additionally, Cricket will offer increased high speed LTE data access for Basic and Smart plans."

More specifically, under the new scheme, the Basic plan now offers 2.5GB of data instead of just 1GB, while retaining the same price tag of $40 per month. The $50 Smart plan now offers 5GB of data instead of the previous 3GB, while the $60 Smart plan remains unchanged at 10GB.

For data-hungry users, meanwhile, Cricket now has an advanced tier for a "limited time," offering a hefty 20GB of data per month for the same $60 price tag as the 10GB Smart plan. On the other hand, this advanced tier is not eligible for the Cricket Group Savings program, and will be available only through 4/9/15.

Lastly, it's worth pointing out that customers who sign up for auto-pay will automatically benefit from a $5 discount on all of these plans, bringing down the price to just $35 for the Basic one (see image above).
