Apple To Launch New iPod Models Soon

New iPod Touch models from Apple will be coming next week, including iPod Touch with a better processor and bigger storage.

The maker of the iPad and iPhone, Apple Inc., hasn't forgotten the iPod Touch. The multimedia music player is expected to receive an important update next week. Several news agencies have reported Apple's announcement on iPod Touch refresh, as well as new models of the iPad Nano and iPod Shuffle.

Apple's upcoming iPod Touch, in order to draw buyers, will feature the same processor as in the iPhone 5S, or a 64-bit processor. The touchscreen display music player from Apple is also expected to include additional storage option and an improved back-facing camera. The additional storage option will be available on all iPod Touch models, including those that already come with 128GB non-expandable internal storage.

These Apple updates are not surprising. The company launched in June a revamped version of its Music App with Spotify-like services. The American tech giant offers now unlimited music streaming instead of just locking people with pay-before-download music files. The single subscription to Apple Music App costs just $9.99 per month, while the family version comes at a price tag of $14.99 with support for up to six users.

With the inexpensive new iPod Touch models that come with improved features, Apple with intends to rake in additional revenue from the new Music app's subscribers. This fall the Android version of Apple music player will also come on the market. The new iPods can also help Apple to sell more Beats Music branded earphones and headsets as well.

The iPod refresh comes at a time when Apple introduces a beta preview for its new build for the iOS. Apple is trying company's first attempt in the online news business. The Apple iPod Touch with 16 GB storage space comes with a the price tag of $199, the 32 GB option will cost $249, and the 64GB model comes with a price of $299.

According to the French website iGen.fr, the refreshed lineup of iPod touch, iPod Shuffle and iPad Nano portable media players will be introduced to the market around July 14. While the new iPod touch will come with a more significant update, the iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle may be refreshed only with new colors.

Earlier this month iPods in unreleased colors were spotted in iTunes 12.2, including a new beige or gold color for the iPod Nano, a darker blue for the iPod Touch, and a brighter pink color for the iPod Shuffle. It seems that a full lineup of six new colors will be available for the three Apple iPod models, including space grey, silver, red, light gold, deep blue, and bright pink.

As for now, on the Apple Online Store in Canada and the U.S., iPod Touch shipping times have slipped to two-five business days.
