NASA's Curiosity Rover has been beaming back from its Mars exploration many images that show mysterious objects. The photographs of a woman and the crab-looking creature were both creating excitement in the groups of supporters of the idea of the existence of life on Mars.

Other strange images include pyramids, guns, iguanas, even those that being claimed to resemble President Barack Obama's face. A new photograph in the recent tranche of images captured by Curiosity Rover on Aug 30 caught an observer's attention because it appears this time to contain a hovering spoon.

According to the Daily Mail, the floating object was first pointed out by a member of the Unmanned Spaceflight forum from a screen capture of a video captured recently by Curiosity's Mastcam on sol 1089. Other users also pointed out in several other areas similar looking and sometimes even bigger floating "spoons". These discoveries are prompting some to wonder whether there is an advanced form of life on Mars and the Martians have put these objects in place.

According to NASA's declaration in a Twitter post, Scientists, however, have rejected any claim of a floating spoon, coming with the explanation that it is merely a rock formation shaped by wind called ventifact.

Other experts explain that people may see patterns or connections in seemingly unconnected and random data contained in the videos and images taken by the unmanned mission. According to them, this phenomenon is called apophenia or pareidolia, as cited in the Daily Mail report. This is perfectly natural because it allows humans the ability to determine the speed of objects and recognize faces in the crowd.

Regardless of whether the hovering spoon is indeed a rock formation or not, it still looks truly amazing, especially in comparison to identified objects in previous images. It does appear to be floating and it has perfect spoon-like form. The image comes complete with its shadow underneath, which supports the hypothesis of a floating object.

This is one reason more for alien hunters to claim that there is clear evidence of living in the images take by Curiosity rover. But according to the official version from NASA, if there is life on Mars, it might be only at a microbial level.

For the more imaginative minds, these images are, however, clear signs of alien life on the neighbor planet. For years, conspiracy theorists have been claimed that the photos beamed back to Earth by NASA probes show mysterious objects that prove the existence of extraterrestrial activity on Mars. The latest arrival is just one more reason for them to support their theories.
