Expect The OnePlus X By The End Of October

Chinese smartphone startup OnePlus has easily made its name in the ever lucrative smartphone business. In a recent post the company made on its official Twitter page, it teased the upcoming release of its next flagship, OnePlus X on Oct. 29.

Time isn't really going to stop the company to continuously follow its line with new smartphones as OnePlus X will come only a few months after the company's secondary flagship, the OnePlus 2. This isn't the first time news about the OnePlus X has surfaced - the smartphone was first leaked in an FCC filing a couple of days ago, only stating that it will have a 5.5-inch display. Unsurprisingly, a new smartphone is to be expected after co-founder Carl Pei announced that there will be more phones to come by the end of the year.

A series of images have also been released, showing the OnePlus X sporting a similar design to that of the iPhone 6 to give it a sleek and minimalist look. On the OnePlus X, the primary camera is also situated at the upper left corner of the device, although the flash sits at the bottom of the lens. The front side also features a simplistic appearance. There are three capacitive buttons at the bottom for basic navigation, and the earpiece sits together with the camera. In addition, the edges feature the same seamless form of the iPhone 6.

The OnePlus X is expected to enter the midrange segment - it will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, and will feature dual cameras with a dual LED flash setup. OnePlus will also be equipping it with a fingerprint sensor. The OnePlus X is expected to carry a US$250 price tag, which would come off as cheap considering the specifications being speculated at the moment.
