'Batman: Return To Arkham' Trailer Released; A Throwback With A Kick Featuring Updated Graphics And Textures

It is time to kick ass again as Gotham's defender. The official trailer for the remastered Batman games has just been released by Warner Bros. For months, Warner Bros. was plagued with leaks and their stone-cold silence has proven rewarding. The difference in texture and graphics is simply mind-boggling.

“Batman: Return to Arkham” features the first two Batman games, “Batman: Arkham Asylum” and “Batman: Arkham City” but with a remastered touch care of Virtuos. The "Batman: Return to Arkham" bundle goes on sale on July 29, 2016 for $49.99.

Engadget reported that Virtuos, the same studio that handled the remastered versions of "Final Fantasy X" and "Heavy Rain," promises "improved graphics, models, lighting, effects and additional augments." The sparkly new finish was made possible using the Unreal 4 engine.

That certainly is quite a bit of improvement, and the trailer does give it justice. Reddit user blackfire561 released a side-by-side comparison of screen shots of the old graphics and the remastered ones by Virtuos. See them here.

To first time players who have not had the chance to play any of the Batman games, now is the time. "Batman: Arkham Asylum" pushed the limits of a superhero game could be. Check out part of the official press release published by Blastr,
