Far Harbor Bugs Already Being Fixed By Bethesda; Fallout Cascadia To Be Even Bigger!

Bethesda certainly has its hands full right now with everything related to Fallout 4. With the release of Far Harbor DLC over the weekend, it has since had to deal with reports of bugs—a never-ending problem for the company. However, there are also additional reports that a new world-space mod is already in the works—and the word is that it is even bigger than Far Harbor.

As for Far Harbor problems are concerned, Bethesda has already released an official statement. They said, “We made optimizations based on Far Harbor beta feedback but understand some people are experiencing issues. We are actively working on more improvements. As we have news and information, we'll update this post.”

The message ended saying, “Thank you for playing Fallout 4.”

Game Rant reported that some of the problems that players were facing could be related to frame rate and general performance problems. This is due to complaints of dips below 20 FPS while on portions Far Harbor's landmass.

It would additionally seem that glitches occur most frequently because of the radioactive fog that clouds the entire place—a unique component of the add-on. If this indeed is the problem, Bethesda will have to “find a workaround by way of lighting and atmospheric effects instead of removing the feature completely,” the Game Rant report said.

In other news, Fallout Cascadia is already being developed. If reports are true, then this world will be even bigger than Far Harbor—currently the largest add-on Bethesda has ever made. As is, the most recent DLC features 20 hours of content and a landmass that will take half an hour just to walk across.

Game Rant reported that Fallout Cascadia will be set in Seattle and be “just a bit smaller than Fallout 3.” The mod is set to be a standalone and will have “more quests and location's than Fallout 4's Far Harbor DLC.” Cascadia will have Mercer Island, Redmond, and Bellvue in addition to the city itself.

The mod, being set considerably after Fallout 4, requires a new save file. This being said, players cannot travel to Boston Commonwealth. Fallout Cascadia is going to be released for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
